Looks good on my wrangler. Was easy to install. I did direct to battery install since it is my daily driver so I don’t have to worry about any slow battery draw. Haven’t gotten stuck yet so can’t comment on if it will pull me out but did use it to move a large tree branch and it did the job with ease. Seems well built and I like that it has 2 wireless remotes plus the corded control if needed. I will update if I have to use it for recovery.

Bought for my 2013 jeep. Love the remote control so you can get out & physically see it working. Pulled other vehicles out as well. Great price.

Design and function are quite good at the price. Only one problem to note is the handle used to engage or disengage the drive was misaligned and would not seat properly to install the locking switch. Thankfully I have tools and rigged it for success. Great little tool.

Bought the 13.5 with synthetic rope a year ago. Tested a few times right away. Worked as expected. Pulled my 2002 TJ wrangler out of a nasty spot last weekend. Paid for itself as recovery fee in that location would have been horrendous. As others have mentioned heavier duty motor does not mean it uses a lot more power unless the you are pulling against a huge load.

I purchased this winch based on the number of other purchasers and 4.5 star rating. Boy was that a mistake! 6 monhs after I installed this unit on my car hauler trailer, with a grand total of 5 tugs, the winch gave up on me. I installed a new battery to verify that this was not an issue, had a solar charger on it the entire time, and even rigged the battery to be charging from the truck as it ran, and still nothing. Winch relays would click, but the motor would not kick on. I reach out to RUGCEL directly since thier products have a one year warrenty, explaned the situation, and sent photos of the un-abused winch. All I got back was that the wires appearded to be bad, and I would have to purchase thier new wire/relay/contol box. I asked why this was not covered under the warrenty, and all I get back was it just isint... I have since reached out to Amazon to see if we can rectify the situation, but have yet to hear of an agreeable outcome. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACK AND LOSS OF MONEY. Rugcel will not honnor thier own warrenty should you have an issue. I can share emails sent back and forth should anyone be interested. First photo is right after install, and the others are the ones sent to Rugcel that aparently told them I needed to buy thier new Wire/Relay/Controler kit.

I built a bumper for my 86 Jeep CJ-7 and wanted a winch because I spend a lot of time on the forest backroads scouting off grid campsites. I took it up yesterday and got to use it on 4 large fallen trees that blocked the road. It worked perfectly. The synthetic rope is a game changer!! I had to fabricate some brackets to weld to the frame so I could mount it on a universal winch plate. That was the hardest part. Mounting and wiring took less than an hour. I recommend getting quick disconnects for the direct battery cables. Many reviews I’ve read researching this said if it’s permanently connected to the battery, it will drain your battery quickly. I got the quick disconnects here on Amazon for next to nothing. I just connect right next to the winch when I need it, and disconnect when I’m done. Saves my battery.

Very impressed with this product especially with Amazon support team with this order. Could’ve been happier. As soon as I start my Farm building I will definitely be purchasing more of these items. Highly highly recommended !

Bought it to attach to a quad and snow blade. We had an issue with the controller. The manufacturer was incredible very responsive and communicative and sent a replacement controller within days at no additional charge. Now works very well and very happy with the customer service. Would highly recommend.
