Great beginner double edge safety razor
This was my first shave ever with this type of razor. It took about three or four swipes to get used to but no or nicks or cuts. And it's honestly the closest shave I've had in the 35 years I've been shaving. At some point I can see myself upgrading to a fancier better razor, but this one works really really well with the razors that were provided within the package. If you're on the fence about a first time double-edge safety razor try this one. You will not be disappointed.

Good deal, good shave
These converted me from the hella expensive multi blade cartridge razors. Was getting to the end of my stash of multi blade cartridges and not looking forward to shelling out the cost for their expensive refills. My son convinced me to try using a safety razor after years of shaving with the usual and, by comparison, very expensive multi blade cartridge razors. I was worried that I'd have cuts all over. Turns out, even less cutting than with the cartridge razors. And on top of that a quicker shave. With the cartridge razors I'd usually go back over spots several times to get the shave as smooth as possible. With these, when the blade is new it's just one pass. Used blade might take two passes and then replace it.The cartridges I'd try and use longer, because of the cost. Of course the longer the cartridge was used the more passes that were needed to get a smooth shave.A pack of ten blades costs about the same as one or two cartridges. So I replace them sooner than I replaced cartridges and still spend much less on my blades.Plus, they seem to clog less than the cartridge style. Shaving the over grown fine hair on the back of my neck is a one pass exercise. With cartridges, even new ones, it would require multiple passes because even new cartridges would clog with the fine hairs and need to be cleared to get the hair it wasn't cutting because of the clogging.I'm converted!

Small and cheap compared to electric!
This was my first time using one of these to shave compared to using electric. I was worried at first but you can be pretty rough with it without causing any knicks. Very cheap and great for first time shavers.

Not an uber-expensive razor, but it works for me!
I had a top-of-the-line safety razor, and it somehow walked out of the house all by itself. (I’m not accusing anyone, mind you.) My legs are not nearly as hairy in my seventies as they were in my twenties, but they still have to be shaved before I go out in public in shorts. I wasn’t about to spend big bucks for a new razor, so I thought I’d try this one. It works just fine for my purposes, and I think it’s far less likely to walk out of the house than a more expensive razor would be. (You know those razors are pricier because they have a special superpower…they can grow legs when you’re not looking and get away from you.)This one is not as smooth a shave as my other one, and changing the blade involves taking the head off, but it doesn’t cut me and it gets the job done. It comes in a nice giftable box with a supply of razor blades, so it would make a nice graduation gift for that student about to leave for college. Not only will it save them money on shaving over the planet-killing plastic ones, there’s a certain “cool” factor to using a “real” razor. And when they start paying their own way, they can spring for a really good one on their dime, not yours, should they wish.

Breaks after one year
this razor lasted me about a year and four months. ive purchased multiple times, they all last about a year. youre probably better off investing in a quality product that will last.

Cut myself more now than ever before
Bought to help with strawberry legs. Literally the most dangerous razor I have ever used. I cut myself every time I use it. And they’re not like regular leg-shaving cuts. They are deeper and bleed a lot more.
