Purchased for non-professional use (home garage vehicle maintenance and repair). Not being used for scientific or engineering metrology, so I am not evaluating specification resolution and accuracy.Well designed instrument, very nice large LCD screen with easy to read display that includes readouts in millimeters, inches and fractions (...!). 4Cr13 martensitic stainless steel construction, zero setting, locking screw, inside/outside/depth measurements. Modestly priced.Only drawbacks - the display is not backlit and the black plastic carrying case is marginal quality/not foam lined.Very pleased customer here. Hope this helps.

Worked very well for a couple years….. Not any good anymore. I will say, as a professional CNC machinist. They are supersingly well made and accurate and will last for a couple years. Don’t expect to get 10 years out of them. Keep them dry.

Great quality for the price. Also nice to have fraction read out. Only complaint I wish this version had a thumb wheel.

I love cheap calipers for daily use. These are the best. Even a machinist should have a pair of these in the shop for measuring everything you only need +|- .005" accuracy for.I really like not having the "spin wheel" for find adjustment. I thought I'd miss it, but I quickly came to prefer not having it. Just tap it a little.Get the 8" because they feel better in your hand.And you can measure 7.9" objects. (Can't do that with the 6" model.)
