Q: In nov. 2016, i purchased the thule 9034 t2 pro on amazon. will this two bike add on work with it? if not, which thule add-on will?

Thanks for checking with Thule and good question. Regretfully the XT add on version will not work with old 9034 versions. Amazon should still have some 9036 (non XT) versions still in stock.

No, original bike rack must be t2 pro xt 2" base.

Q: will it handle the heavy electric bikes?

The 2 bike rack is rated for 60 pounds, so I would think that the 4 bike setup (2 bike add-on) would hold maximum of 120#. So, the answer is that it will probably handle an electric bike or two but no more than 120# max. Do not take my word for this. Check with Thule.
