Having reflux for decades and refusing to accept the risk and side effect of PPI's, and trying a very expensive failed surgery to correct, I depend on as-needed and Safe supplement products that tamp down stomach acid and protect the esophagus by putting a 'float' over the stomach contents. I've successfully used different ones, usually chewable tablets and some for many years, but all are somewhat gritty and chalky, so recently coming across Reflux Gourmet which is a paste in a tube and in different flavors, I decided to try it out. Hands-down this product has turned out to be the best-tasting, totally working, easy to use product in this category I've ever tried. A non-gritty, great flavored smooth paste that one eats off a teaspoon, or what I do, squeeze into mouth (not in polite company ;-) and it just works.. And to top it off after a couple months while trying it out it I had an issue with the dispensing tube it's supplied in, and customer support was so pleasant and helpful in resolving it to (more than) my satisfaction.. A Great Product from a Great Company, -what more could one want!

Three people in my family tried this product. It did not work for one, but for the other two, this is the best product we have tried. It is easy to swallow despite being quite thick. The texture is not very appealing since it is an odd thickness, but the flavor makes it taste much better. I appreciate the natural ingredients that are used in the product. If this ends up working for you, it is an excellent product, but it isn’t a universal solution. It is quite expensive for something that may not work.

I unfortunately had the same problem as many of the other reviewers GERD or Acid Reflux causing me to cough, post nasal drip, and kept me up all night. I tried this natural product because I don't like take medications and to my surprise it worked. I had a decent nights sleep, the post nasal drip slowed or almost ceased and I feel like I'm getting my voice back the swallowing is improving. The product is costly but worth every penny. If you have GERD or ACid REflux this is what you need and it tastes great.

It seems to work sometimes. However, sometimes it doesn’t seem to last very long. It’s incredibly expensive for what you get. It comes in a very large tube however, I’ve had the tube for a week and I don’t believe I have many days left on it. I’m taking it 3 to 4 teaspoons a day. I’m not sure if I’ll buy it again. The flavors OK but it’s like eating a spoonful of sugar, incredibly sweet.

Not all alginate products are created equal. This meets all the criteria. Do your research before you go to the cheaper brand. This has no artificial sweeteners and tastes great. You only need a teaspoon so it will last a long time. It gave me the best night sleep in days. My GERD was the worst it has ever been as a result of antibiotic I had to take. The constant cough stopped as well as the need to have the head of the bed 45 degrees.

I think it worked. It supposed to block anything from coming back up, but, in my case, it felt like it blocked anything from going out the other end. Major constipation and discomfort. I'd prefer the reflux to this. And I've noticed others had a similar thing. But credit given for it working and maybe you won't have the side effects

At first, I was reluctant to try this - who wants to eat slime (?). Right? When my Speech Pathologist suggested it and described it as pond scum, I was not excited. Unfortunately, I was at a place where nothing else was working. Fastforward two weeks...I can see the difference. I haven't tasted any acidic fluids in my mouth, and my usual reflux or regurgitation has diminished. I almost happened without me noticing - I had to really think about the last time I experienced it. That being said, the taste is quite pleasant and quick; it's gone before you know it and the jelly form is not what I anticipated. I definitely recommend this product.

I have suffered from reflux for over 30 years and I get it now with anything I eat, except coffee! It has gotten more severe the older I have gotten. I've tried prescription meds as well as OTC. This stuff is absolutely amazing!! The taste isn't bad at all, in fact it is my favorite flavor among all brands. Do yourself a favor and try this, there are no drugs in it and it seems to be really effective. The only thing that may be a problem to some is the price, which I believe is fair considering I don't need to buy anything else for this problem. It's a little thick, but it does go down easy.
