Great little radio.
This is a great little radio. I like that the FM antenna is actually built into a carrying loop that is not shown in the product picture. Unlike some other tiny FM radios...this one has a speaker too. Works great with 2 rechargeable AAA batteries. The only disadvantage I have found is that all presets (and the time you set) are lost when changing batteries. I even tried quick changing batteries one at a time...no luck....all presets, alarms and set time lost. Not a big deal for me as my smartphone provides my alarms, time, etc. I bought this primarily for FM around the house and it is perfect.....no antenna to extend and break off. No earbuds come with the unit....and buds that cost five times more than this FM radio sound great with it. The radio only weighs about 3oz with batteries and you will barely notice it in a t-shirt pocket. Oh...you can also operate it via the 3volt jack but no power supply is included. As an tiny FM radio....this radio has better reception than my Sandisk Clip. I like it so much I am ordering a second for use with my home theater FM transmitter for hearing impaired visitors. I have no association with this company and paid for my own unit. Great value for 20 bucks ! Now...if it would keep presets on a battery change, have shortwave with PLL, and provision to attach an external shortwave antenna....this would be a PERFECT Grundig killer at maybe 45 bucks.

Awesome for what it is
I titled this "Awesome for what it is" for a reason. I'm a lifelong radio guy. I own a lot of them. Most cost me over $100, most are multiband and represent the best of the radios out there. CCrane, Sangean, TecSun, Grundig, Sony... these are all brands that you'd find in my home and I'd say all of them are 4-5 star radios. This little radio is very firmly a 4 star radio, but it is not anywhere near in the same class as those radios. I want to make that clear to the other radio guys out there. But I still do consider it a 4 star radio, so read on and see why.I bought this radio for one thing, baseball games. I wanted a small, lightweight radio that fits in a shirt pocket so I can listen to the radio broadcast of a game while I'm at the stadium watching it. This radio is perfect for that. It's small, light, and with earbuds (not included) sounds great. I really couldn't ask for more in that regard. For the last couple of years I've been using a CC Witness for that, but I wasn't a fan of carrying around an expensive device, and there's a lot about the Witness as a radio that isn't all that great. The display screen is large and easy to read, which is really important if you've got to wear reading glasses. I do, and don't have to worry about glasses when using this. The controls are simple and easy to use. At first the buttons are a bit stiff and cheap feeling, but that goes away with time as they get worn in through use. Battery life is very good for AAA batteries.Tuning is easy and while you can't change the steps, it does a good job of isolating frequencies so there's no bleed over or washout. If you like presets, this has like 20 . each on AM and FM. Way more than I'll ever use, but nice to know they're there. Overall, this is really a basic, AM/FM radio that's easy to use and gets great reception. But it's not all good. Read on:Without earbuds, this radio sounds terrible. It's got a small speaker, and it's really, really tinny sounding. It will do if needed, but I think I'd carry a spare set of earbuds in case of emergency, because it's too tinny for me to listen to for very long, especially with just voice. I was really surprised that it didn't come with earbuds due to that, as it seems every cheap radio comes with a cheap pair, even if they're unusable. Not really a negative, just an observation. The battery cover is difficult to get off. Due to that, and the plastic that it's made of, it's one of those devices that makes you think you're going to break the cover when you remove it. You won't, but it feels that way!And this last detail may be a deal breaker for some: The lanyard is actually the antenna. So if you're one of those people who want to cut off the lanyard, don't. The radio will be deaf if you do. I'm not sure how smart having the lanyard be the antenna is, it seems like a lot of unnecessary stress to put on the antenna, but then I'm also not a fan of radios that use the earbud cord as an antenna either. As the lanyard is a loop, I'm not sure if it's just an FM antenna or if it's a AM also.If you can live with that and are just looking for a simple AM/FM portable radio, this is a terrific deal. I'm looking forward to using it this spring and summer when baseball starts. I'll probably use it before then too, as this radio is so small and light, it's easy to carry wherever.

Nice little radio
Can't speak to how long it will last, but out of the box I am really impressed with this. Nice & compact, fit and finish very good, 20 presets (more than my car), auto scan, back light, alarm, lock function, digital tuning. AA power to me a plus over rechargeables - 2 spares in your pocket and no worries about running out. Speaker quality ok (not expecting much for size/price) and good volume in speaker and headphones. As someone else said, nice they built the antenna into the wrist strap. Manual could be improved a bit - had to figure some stuff out by trial and error. Overall excellent features & value, hope it will last.
