Carolina's® Young Scientist™ Earthworm Dissection Kit, Materials For 1-2 Students

I purchased this for my daughter's home education curriculum. The experience was so-so. Be advised it does not come with everything (you have to purchase the pins, gloves, and goggles separately). The specimen itself was a good size and in decent shape (keeping in mind that it is a worm and pretty squishy and hard to work with to begin with). The teacher's guide has adequate photo and illustrated references along with information to teach the subject. My biggest complaint was that the surgical scissors, which is absolutely necessary to cut the midline of the worm, are so incredibly blunt that It is easy to destroy the internal organs of the worm, which renders the entire project pretty pointless. Luckily, we purchased a separate dissection kit with sharper equipment that we used to a far more successful effect.

Great guide and direction just wish the scissors had been sharper. They were a little difficult for my child to get started with.

The kit does not come with all necessary supplies. The scissors in the kit were so dull that the specimen was ruined as the organs were all squashed.

Nice worm but it smelled strong. It held up through the dissection and clearly saw what we needed.
