There is nothing I don't like about this little gem. It cuts up to 1.25 inches easily, comes with 2 batteries and I keep expecting to have to change to the full one but after a few weeks I'm still on the first battery. At first I thought it didn't work but I read the instructions and you have to kind of prime it with a double pull on the trigger and then it's ready. If you have it switched on and haven't cut anything for a minute or so it will have to be re-primed which is a nice battery saving feature. I had an overgrown 15 foot lilac that I wanted cut to 3 feet and couldn't find anyone to do it. This tool made quick work of the smaller branches so I could get to the big ones with my chain saw. Does a great job on buckthorn, which is tough to cut. Pruned my magnolia, apple tree, rose bushes and bridal wreath spirea ,cut down volunteer aspen and ashI have arthritis in my hands and wouldn't have tackled the lilac or buckthorn without this. My "problem" now is that I have to go around and pick up all the branches I've cut. I can't stop cutting things down!

With this machine I was able to prune a large overgrown mass of invasive trees. It works great and strong. You can cut faster and EASIER. Oh my gosh, my hand would have been extremely sore attempting that with hand powered pruners. This device cut through the branches fast and easy. I did try on some pieces that were too big. It would go part way in and stop. So I'd simply go from another angle on the branch and sometimes it took three attempts but it is strong. WATCH your fingers. While moving around in the brush and reaching oddly I can see it could be easy to cut off a finger. The only consolation would be that it would result in a nice clean cut that would sew back on easily. jk I have no experience with similar devices of other brands so cannot compare. But, I can say two batteries with long life means you can prune all day long easily. One battery is charged by the time you can drain the other one.

This is one of my favorite buy! Work so well, I cleaned a small patch of woods all in 30 minutes, effortless, beautiful. most of the trees are 1.5 in or less, so this pruner really works well.bonus, I use this pruner to cut ribs/chickens, which is also effortless. Used to be a lot of muscle needed to cut through those hard bones.

This is one of the best tools you can invest in. so easy to use, No fatigue using this tool. very sharp. I cut through one and quarter inch limbs easy.money well invested.
