Can this be used to bridge a remote LAN using the ethernet port?

I am using it as an access point via ethernet cable to a LAN port from a LAN port of my Gateway router(EA9500); of course DHCP is disabled on the EA6900. Common SSID, Common PW.

Do you have to log devices into this extender instead of the router?

The device functions much like an extension cord for electrical devices...You connect to it just and it is connected to your router.

does this come with intrustructions needed to get this up and running on a manual set up?
