Can these punch thick steel that have been heat treated or in the forge?

I haven't tried it on steel like that, but they're supposed to be able to make a punch on anything, and it says you're able to change the strength of the punch. I'm sure they'll work. They're pretty heavy duty.

How do you adjust the tension

Dear buyer The spring impact power is adjustable , on the knurled sections. Turn the barrels in opposite clockwise/counter-clockwise direction to tighten/loosen the sections. Fully closed together is full tension and power of impact
