Seem sturdy
I will update more once I have them installed. I purchased 6 of these for some of the poultry. They just came today and so far by the looks of it I am impressed. I picked these because the washout and the float. The float and the mechanics look and feel like they will last a few years. Also they are adjustable. I was worried the clean out plug would be cheap but it looks like it will last a few years also. Overall the workmanship looks good. Some of the automatic waterers came w sanding blocks for the edges as they might be sharp. I checked the lip edges and all of them came sanded. So no additional labor there.Last thing the holes for the bolts to mount it are in the appropriate spot. So I do not foresee and issue with leaking.

Worst product I've purchased in years
I purchased two of these knowing I'd probably have to adjust them, and knowing I'd need a 3/4 to 1/2" adapter. When they showed up one of them was missing the drain plug, so it was useless. The second unit wouldn't shut off with water, after nearly an hour of making adjustments I looked at the first unit and realized the rubber plunger inside of the valve was missing from the second bowl. So two defective units. Using parts from both units, I was able to make one functional bowl.So I ordered a third bowl. The third bowl showed up missing the side gasket, and also had a defective plunger assembly. So I was able to use 3 bowls to make 1 functional bowl, but all 3 purchased bowls arrived defective. I'd gladly pay $100 for a working version of this product, but it seems nobody makes them with both a working float assembly, and a brass fitting.

Seems Heavy Duty
Exactly what you see. Heavy duty, stainless steel, automatic watering bowl. NOTHING ELSE. No mounting hardware no adapter hose, and no extra parts. To buy the stuff you need to hook this up to a hose will cost you around $20 - You need a Female to female 3/4" HGT to 1/2" NPT adapter, mounting bolts, and a length of hose.Looking back, it would have been better to buy the one with mounting hardware, hose and adapter for $5 more.

Best Waterer of this type I’ve ever purchased
Because this has all brass fittings it shouldn’t break like all the auto waterers I’ve purchased in the past. So far so good and with pigs and ducks it gets horribly filthy quick…luckily another great feature is you can just flip up the flap to clean! The last ones had to be taken apart (unscrewed) which was a huge inconvenience! I would recommend this for dogs and livestock!

Nice Unit But Issues
The product bowl and it parts are heavy stainless. the float mechanism is brass which is far better than the plastic float valves. But the issue I have is the float assembly was not tight and leaked. To properly tighten the assembly I had to take the unit apart and purchase a 12mm allen wrench to hole the threaded assembly to be able to properly tighten the float assembly to the bowl to stop the leaking.

Has some serious quality control issues
I bought this version with the brass float valve despite the other reviews that said not to. As expected, it had some problems on arrival. The bag was torn open and the fastener which attached the float to the valve was missing, so I had to go to the hardware store to get a replacement. Not a huge deal, but irritating.Next, there is only a gasket around the inlet on the inside of the bowl, so the outside leaked like a sieve. It was a pressurized leak, so it was probably coming from where the inlet screws into the valve itself. I took everything apart and wrapped all the threads with teflon tape, then added a gasket on the outside of the bowl (pictured). Not leaking now, but a product shouldn't need this kind of rejiggering just to make it usable.

Well made!
Extremely well made. But it won't rest on the ground like I need for my wildlife watering system. I'll build a stand to mount it on because it's way better than the plastic ones.
