Not a Precision Toy
The media could not be loaded. This item failed to meet my expectations. It arrived nicely packaged and assembly was intuitive and easy. However it is challenging to get this item to spin for long periods despite the fact that there is almost no friction to slow it down. IMHO, the device is slightly out of balance which causes it to wobble while spinning. I also found it challenging to get a good spin going because the end is slippery and it is difficult to keep it straight.

Magic Levitating Spindle

Touchy
I ended up drilling a small hole in the plexiglass the the pin on the spindle could fit into. Without doing that the the thing kept popping off. I think the magnets were not aligned quite right. I wish the colors were different, black and white is kind of boring. Nifty gifty

Great conversation peice
Works as advertised. Spins fast for over 5 minutes. Grandson loves playing with it. Not balanced very well, wobbles as it spins, but still works well.

Good for curious minds.
Bought to bring to work (tutoring center) as a curiosity to show students. Lot of students liked it and were immediately intrigued. Unfortunately, this has so far led to some focusing on it *too* much and not concentrating on work.As far as a novelty, it is genuinely cool. Something I didn't notice when purchasing was that there's a little metal nib on the front of it that makes contact with a piece of plastic. It does scratch the plastic a bit as it spins, but I don't care so much.Worth the 12 dollars.
