Downy Infusions Botanical Mist Liquid Fabric Conditioner (Fabric Softener), 41 FL OZ

This has become one of my "guilty pleasures". I've become one of those people who cooks everything from scratch and cleans with vinegar. I buy mostly Seventh Generation cleaning products. One day I got a sample of this. I started to throw it away but decided to smell it first. It just so happened I was doing a load of wash and the rinse cycle was coming up. I rinse my clothes twice by the way and have used vinegar for years in the first rinse cycle. Just a tip. If you're ever out of softener and you have vinegar on hand, pour 1/2 cup in your rinse cycle. NO..you do not smell the vinegar when the laundry comes out of the dryer but the clothes are VERY soft.Anyway..back to the clothes in my washer. So the rinse cycle is starting and I have the open sample in my hand. What the heck...I put this in the first rinse cycle. I was SO taken with the soft beautiful smell of my clothes when they came out of the dryer I gave in and made this a regular laundry day addition. I know there's chemicals but, at my age, I don't think they're going to kill me.

Well, I’m hooked! Short story:I was in the laundry aisle at the store, trying to find a softener that has a pleasant aroma, I’m picky, and picked this up to give it the “sniff” test. “Nice,” I said. Moving on, I was placing bottle back on top shelf, where I found it, and didn’t quite set it there properly, and it fell to the floor. BOOM!I’m hurriedly trying to wipe up mess, and getting it all over my sleeve, etc., then putting it back up on shelf. I walked on to finish shopping, but kept smelling wisps of the amazing aroma, and realized it was coming from ME! Coming from my sleeve! So, I head back to the laundry aisle, retrieve the bottle, and bought it!!!So glad it’s here on Prime Pantry at a better price!It’s WONDERFUL! Makes doing laundry a pleasure now! 👍👍👍

Great scent, but a little goes a long way with this. My only reservation is if you use too much then it leaves a weird residue on your clothes (or at least for me it did). The cap has lines for you to measure the amount you are putting in but it is rather hard to read with the black cap. Also, it just has numbers with no explanation on what the number correlate to (granted this may just be because I am not quite adept at washing clothes).

I use Downy Fabric Softener on all our clothes. Botanical Mist is my favorite scent. It stays on the clothes while you wear them. I never have to wear perfume.I would not recommend this product for anyone that has lots of allergies. Get the plain unscented brand instead. But if you are like me and like a floral scent this one is for you. Not overwhelming but better than any other brand I have tried.

I love the infusions. The scent is divine and it lingers long after the wash. It isn't overpowering, it's subtle enough to know it is there but doesn't interfere with any other scents. It also does a very good job of making the fabric soft - especially blankets!

Started using it this week and it works fine.. I don’t know what to say about the smell, I didn’t really like it even though it’s not bad. It’s just not what I expected. I don’t use it in every wash

I have been using this product for a while now, and while I can not say I think it really works like a regular fabric softener, I can tell you that the smell is wonderful. If the price was right, I would purchase it again.

This is my favorite fabric softener by far. Clothes are left feeling soft and well scented; I do not find the smell to be offensive, obviously, but if you are sensitive to perfumes, this is probably not the softener for you! After hanging in the closet, the scent dissipates well enough that I don't think it would affect others around you, but if you are the primary person doing laundry, and are sensitive to smells, they probably are too strongly scented.
