I ordered this item with high hopes after reading many of the reviews and after also having tried a less expensive but similar item by RCA. The RCA item actually was able to receive more channels than this Bamshoot TV antenna that is BOOSTED and boasts a range of 50-100 miles. I am only 14 miles from the towers that provide our signals, yet even with the booster connected to the tv no matter where I placed this I had significantly limited reception, we are supposed to get over 30 channels in our area, with the Bamshoot I could only receive 6 or 7. I received 13 with the unboosted RCA antenna I purchased. We ARE located on the far side of a hill that stands partially between our home and the signal tower and the side of my home the TV is on is on the opposite wall from the direction the signal would come from, with no window facing the direction of the towers so perhaps that may have something to do with the poor reception, however being that this Bamshoot antenna is boosted and rated at 50-100 miles, I thought this should be able to over come that issue, but apparently it can not. I planned to return this item today but when I logged on to amazon I see that I missed the window for returning this item by 5 days and can no longer return it as there was a 30 day return policy, I didn't know about that, I did know I've never had an issue returning things to amazon before but I can't blame them that's my mistake for not paying attention. This might be a great antenna in other locations, but considering that a lower cost antenna that was unboosted easily bested the number and quality of channels I was able to receive on this Bamshoot antenna I can't say I would recommend this unit. UPDATED 6/30/2017 Initially I gave this product a lower star rating because in my area which is behind hills I was not able to get all of the channels available in my area, the towers are 14 miles away but on the other side of some very large hills and then I have another large hill between me and the towers, however I am upgrading my stars to 5 simply because the seller has gone out of their way to make sure they have a happy customer! Even though I waited beyond the 30 day return limit, the seller went out of their way to refund my money for their product, and their customer service has been outstanding, I'm sure this product is fine in many areas just not as good as it could be in mine due to the geography, but how can you loose when you have customer support that will back you and goes out of their way to help you so I feel you just go wrong with customer service like that!!! If it doesn't work as you hope in your area they will support their product and refund your money, can't go wrong with customer support like that! .

Just hooked up new antenna, was very excited to think I would getchannels from 50 miles away. I'm in Providence RI and got channels in Boston no problem with old antenna. Hooked up this antenna and got zero channels. Yep zip, NADA, none. And you have those threaded connections instead of the slip on so your fingers are nearly bleeding by the time it seats. My best guess is that it was DOA, most distressing. Thanks for nothing. No sarcasm intended (well maybe a little) cause that is exactly what I got (with the exception of having to hook up my old one again). Just hooked up old antenna and got 36 channels. Only rated for 25 miles. So I'm in good signal area.

I live in 36 miles away from the nearest antenna point and i get no signal. I can get 2 channels at the most and they are both blurry.

Very easy directions, and easy to install - Installed on the TV in the living room and stretched the cord to the window - the cord is only 13ft - description says 16ft - not that it makes that huge of a difference. Ran the TV tuner on the tv and it picked up ONE channel (local broadcast) The quality of that ONE channel is excellent though (lol) Tried on the TV upstairs, was able to get a few more channels, but still not as many as our neighbors get with theirs - I'm not 100% sure why this one isn't picking up that well. I have a feeling it's just our location or interference from some other electronics in the house. Our neighbors are on a corner and they don't have any obstructions around them. Not a bad product, just doesn't meet our needs.

Very easy to figure out and scan for channels. I have a metal roof and get good reception, with 12 local channels. It works great!! I did buy a longer co-ax cable and an adapter so I could attach it to a window instead of on the wall.... just because I didn't want it on my wall. Well worth the money!!!

It is not what I expected I only get a few channels would not buy another one

Worked great at my house but didn't work well at my mother-in-laws. However her house has large trees around it that may be why it didn't work. I got about 22 channels at my house, picture is HD where available. Better picture than I get with Directv.

Seller needs to update the description of this item for accuracy. Within my zip code, there are about 30 tv stations that broadcast from several cities. I was only able to pickup 6 channels. My neighbor up the street has an antenna on a pole and picks up all of the stations I was hoping to receive. On the box under specifications, it states a 50 mile range, not 50-100. Very misleading in order to sell you this item. They also state the coax cable to be 16 ft long. It comes with a 10 ft cable, not 16 ft. Very disappointed to say the least.
