Pentel Champ Mechanical Pencil (0.7mm) Mechanical Pencil, Tinted Black Barrel, Box of 12 (AL17A)

When my office no longer ordered these pencils, I found them on Amazon. They are my favorite because of the comfort in the hand and is very durable.

I like the blue and style of this pencil. Grip is nice as a lefty and writes smoothly.

I did think this was an assortment of colored barrels, but I use this brand and style of mechanical pencil a LOT. They were all blue, but are identical to the two individual black ones I purchased. I tend to lose or misplace my mechanical pencils so decided to invest in a 'supply'. It has also allowed me to have a few loaded with different colors of lead for note taking.This is a very economical way to get a supply of these pencils. They write well. They take most 0.7mm leads. The lower black part is sort of cushy and easy to grip. I can write just as easily with either hand, so. They also take refill/replacement erasers (get those separately). The erasers work well, don't turn hard and smeary.

These are some of the best mechanical pencils out there ! They feel ver nice in the hand with the grip and the eraser lasts a long time. I used 1 pencil at my job for 2 months before grabbing a new one ( the eraser was gone or id still be using the very first one out of the box)

I have used these mechanical pencils for many years and have never been disappointed.Easy to hold and write with.

They work as expected (three stars).; I push the plunger, the lead/ graphite comes out and I write.I added an additional star for the grip, it's a unique design that works better thank a lot of the solid squishy solutions used by others.If I need to buy more pencils in the future, I wouldn't hesitate to buy more of these.

Bought these for shop work and the pencil itself works fine - no issues with lead feeding, comfort, or jamming. My issue is I keep it in a work pouch with a pencil holder, and everytime I pull it out, the top comes off so I have to be more delicate about where I'm grabbing it. If you're using it for office/desk work, it'll be perfectly fine. But for me, something with a twist cap would be better so the pencil stays as a whole unit.

No estaba decidido a comprar éste portaminas... no estaba seguro de su calidad... al ver que su precios era accesible, adquirí el paquete de 12 piezas.Que grata sorpresa... es un buen portaminas de plástico duro, funciona muy bien, no se siente débil, escribe muy bien, está balanceado, no cansa, su agarre es único y muy comodo, muy buena compra, adquirí 12 piezas a un precio menor que lo que cuesta regularmente uno sólo de otras marcas y la verdad, no hay diferencia.

Has a nice rubber grip to hold on to.But the lack of a metal tip makes it only as good as the cheap and disposable BIC mechanical pencils.
