Japanese Ceramic Peeler and Slicer 2-in-1 Unique Kitchen Tool (Blue)

Very sharp. It is a great little peeler, and the slicer on the handle is really handy. It slices paper thin slices easily.

I really liked the idea of this peeler when the seller offered me a sample to test as a consumer for review purposes. My daughter has two Honey Crisp apple trees so since I had a big bowl of apples, I decided to make a pie. I peeled 9 large apples with this peeler and slicer. The ceramic blade peels quite nicely. I sliced a slice of the apple and that worked just as well but it only cuts bite size pieces. I found the function of the unit to very good but I think it's better suited for a man. The slicer (being the handle) is simply too wide for me. By the time I got to the last apple, my hand was sore due to the pressure of the width. This is not suitable for small hands. That's my honest opinion. I've given the slicer to my boyfriend. He likes it and doesn't have a problem with it. One other thing, I was happy that the Japanese writing isn't really on the unit. It's simply a clear plastic protection sleeve for the slicing blade.

Overall this does a good job cutting without being too sharp (for the peeler). I like the materials it's made from. That said, the wide grip on the handle is tough to hold and you're ever aware that there's a blade near your palm. There's a small plastic piece that slides in to protect you from cutting yourself on the middle slicer. It doesn't work that great. I certainly wouldn't trust it. It's also not super easy to clean, but I think that's true of all peelers... Except in my efforts to wash this, I'm always afraid I'll lose the guard... Which is piece of plastic that looks like actual garbage so it'd be easy to accidentally toss. Overall, it's usable and I like the two options for it.I received this product in exchange for an honest review.

I don’t even have to use cutting board and knife to slice potatoes or cucumbers after peel the skin. The length of this tool isn’t long to put across over the large bowl. However, I was able to use it in the large bowl. I placed it vertically (like ladder) in the larger bowl, I can still sliced the food easily.• Good quality.• Double edged blade made slicing fast• Little wider handle than ordinary peeler. – The wider handle at first is bit getting used to, but in no time, I got used to using it.This peeler and slicer is great whether I am going to prepare the large meal or just salad for myself.

Okay this little guy is serious.I am sitting here with a band-aid on my middle finger.I received this for review and I thought "Awesome! Just in time for Halloween. I am going to use it to slice whole almonds to make "witch fingernails".Well it works. It works very well! I took photos of the almonds.Then I decided to try and use the peeler on a potatoe and pumpkin.
