Highly Disappointed
We purchased 4 of the ProOne filters as a replacement for our Berkey filters (which were not lasting). These filters fell apart less than 6 months after we purchased them. They were cleaned monthly, per their directions. We were very careful cleaning them, however, this time we noticed that two have completely broken apart at the bottom. The ceramic broke, not the glue or interfacing with the ceramic. These filters were handled with care, as we were not certain how durable the ceramic was. Apparently, they are more delicate than the manufacturer’s described. I would not recommend these for anyone or for any reason. Unless you want to waste your money.

Very bad taste even after 10 cycles but customer service is really good.
UPDATE: Not a scam. ProOne called this morning and we had a very pleasant chat. No one is sure where the tastes came from but I'm sending these back for replacements. Another update to come. The instructions say to discard the first two cycles. I went 10 cycles and still had nasty water. It stung my tongue and there was an essence of fish in my sinuses. One of my four filters came apart in my canister and spilled it's filter guts inside. Has me thinking maybe I got scammed.

Same deceptive practices as Berkey
According to Robert Beaty's research (timestamp 3:53 in his September 2022 "Not just Berkey - Betrayed" video on YouTube): ProOne (aka ProPur) claims NSF certification but won't show any official results of removing contaminants from water; also claim 1000 gallon lifecycle of their filters , but third party testing only tested up to 200 gallons. This practice is very popular.I have been using the ProOne for a year and bought these same replacement filters. We use both the ProOne and our fridge's Waterdrop. Unfortunately I don't have water testlab equipment myself. I'm looking to upgrade my ability to filter out Fluoride now, so it looks like I'll need to switch to a distiller or one of the solutions Beaty noted in his video Description.Due to the gap between contaminant removal / filter lifecycle testing and ProOne's user instructions, and the lack of Fluoride filtration, I am never buying these again.
