Won't be buying PEATMOSS ever again!
This Coconut Fiber is so much better to use and store than peat moss. I added it to my initial garden box setup mixed with generic potting soil and fertilizer. My garden has produced to my wildest expectations this year - in raised beds with my blended soil mix. Even if you added this to Miracle Grow potting soil - it will improve aeration and water retention.

Soil alternative for garden
Product is easy to use and breaks up nicely when soaked. A great soil alternative without chemicals. Worms love it and it easily fills needed spaces.

Time consuming
It takes more time than you might think to rehydrate the compressed brick. Once it has been prepared it seems like it will be good for the plants. Will have to see what happens this upcoming season.

Alternative to peat moss
I tried this in my hydroponics but was surprised to find it is also useful in outdoor gardening. I have been an avid gardener for years. I learned through practice that starting with a good soil base saves time and money when one is looking for a productive garden. In the past I've used peat moss as a starter for my planting mix but now have switched to coco peat. It is economical and holds water well needing less total garden watering. At the risk of sounding like a commercial, it really does work. This year I tried using it as the base for some new raised beds. I started with the horrible clay soil in my new garden, added about 1/4 coco, equal amounts compost, some perlite for drainage, sprinkled some slow release fertilizer, put weed cloth over the mix, and then cut in little holes for the plants. Excellent results.

Great product and customer service
You can get so much out of this block. They didnt deliver it to the right house but i contacted customer service and they resent another. I will buy again for sure when I need more. Customer service is fantastic I have bought another and it is still just as great. the block grows like 10x its size, perfect for my worm farm

A lot of product in the block…what do I do with the leftover
I had thought it was a package of 4 blocks….nope one heavy cube ! Immersed in a large Rubbermaid container….the block fills the large Rubbermaid storage container. Used what I could. I’m hoping the combination of the coir in the plant containers with soil will work. So far my plants look wonderful and I’m watering less Guess I will see how the left over product will last….more googling!

Better than Peat Moss
I heard about this stuff and was skeptical. I planted a lot of veggies this summer and wanted to make sure they had a reliable water source and heard this stuff retains moisture well. When fully wet it expanded to fill my wheel barrow twice. My plants are doing well, so it must be working. I like it better than peat moss.

Highly Recommend
Excellent product! I've tried other brands but this one has the best consistency. The one block basically filled a wheelbarrow.
