If you can fade your own sides, which I do by starting with the number three everywhere in the hairline 360° around the back of my head down to my neck and to my ears, then doing #2 in the center, and #1 in lower 1/3, I use a one and a half into two and a half to blend on the lines.I could always do this myself and even enjoy it because I can keep a clean cut every single week. But I could never cut my own hair, but the two inch, two and a half and 3" amazing quality cut and they perform well even on very basic clippers. They fit perfectly on my wahl brand clippers, couldn't be easier to use, as long as your hair is wet, and combed up when you are using them just to run it over as many times as you can until you hear no more clipping.Durability: I know they make metal clipper guards but I haven't seen them in this size so plastic obviously has its durability limitations, but try not to stop on it with your feet and you should be fine. Also, there are very few heads that use 3" guard (which is a #24), but if you are one, then you can also do the 2-1/2 or even 2 if it breaks because #16 (2" ) is not short and 2-/12 (#20) is almost the same (3" vs 2.5" for me ) unless you're covering something.Next time you get a haircut, get out of the shower and comb your hair straight up and measure it with a ruler while in comb towards ceiling... see what I'm talking about. If your hair is longer than free, and you probably don't get it cut that much anyway and you definitely do the clippers

These are not 100% compatible with Wahl Clippers.They are not manufactured to fit correctly.You will need to put some force into the guards to make them fit.They do not snap on with ease.However, they do work. I had to force the tap of the guard to snap into the head of my Wahl Clippers.I bought these because a local hair salon screwed up my hair and instead of paying double to have my hair fixed, I bought these and used my Wahl Clipper to buzz my hair down to one equal length.Turns out I’ll likely never ever need the rest of these guards because I don’t intend to buzz my head often.I just needed to fix what the salon screwed up (which resulted in me having to start completely over)And it worked. They do what they are designed to do and for that, you get 4 stars.You lose a star because of the figment of the guard to the clipper

I wasn’t sure if I would like these extended length clipper guards for my Wahl Legend clipper, but after test fitting all the different sizes I have to say they’re really nice. Better than some of my name brand Wahl guards that I’ve been using for years. These are made of a more rigid, but slightly flexible, plastic than the originals and they really click and lock onto the clipper’s blade, holding securely. The length labels on the side are just stickers, but like originals there’s a size/length stamp at the base of the guard if a sticker falls off. Not really an issue in my book. I’m happy to add these to my hair cutting kit as it will be easier than scissor cutting the top using these long guards. I’ve seen some complaints about longer guards not catching people’s hair, but I find that if you stand hair up with a comb before running the clipper through it works much better. I’d recommend these if you’re looking for longer guards on a Wahl clipper.

These fit my cordless color pro. I can do cuts without scissors with these long attachments especially on short type cuts.

They barely fit right on a clipper described, don't move the hair into the clipper as they should and the dividers are bent. They feel like they are going to snap or crack in pieces when attatching/detaching...very disappointing for such a costly set! I did NOT get a 'holder' as some have mentioned, just shoved into a box! I was not at all impressed with these. The smaller ones don't match in size as the originals (the 1" is not the same 1" as the one that came with the clippers) which means the sizing is off.

I always had to settle for hair that didnt look good and was too short with current guards but no longer with these, they work amazing for my hair which when its dry its frizzy lifting itself up so easy to cut with these but i can see the longer guards being hard to use with straight hair that doesnt lift itself up

They connect to the razor and fulfill a need but only barely. The comes are so widely spaced that the hair tends to fall thru. I have to hold the hair taunt with one hand while razoring with the other. Rather tedious

✅For my use case, I considered this product more like a buffer between cuts than a replacement. Some may choose the latter, but I'm not handy enough to do a decent cut. That said, this was helpful to ensure that my hair stayed within a reasonable length and helped me stretch the frequency with which I would seek a cut. Pretty straightforward to use, and my only piece of recommendation for first-timers would be to start with the highest length and then work down as needed.❌Despite whatever is on the product page, make sure, upon delivery, that the clipper fits seamlessly with your razor. My initial order did not, and you could noticeably see the plastic being bent beyond capacity. If it seems forced, It's not gonna work. Otherwise, if there is no pushback or visible sign of struggle, go ahead and use.
