Hoosier Hill Farm Clear Jel Thickener (Cook-Type), 1.5LB (Pack of 1)

This product was recommended on a recipe I found for Amish Blueberry Pie! This thickened the filling up fast and the filling came out beautifully and was so delicious!!! This container will last you a loooooong time!!Just don’t do what I did and accidentally bump it off the counter with the top off!! 7 months later and I occasionally still find the powder showing up places! 😂😂

Great product! I use it for all my fruit pies. Easy to make the fruit filling thick.Just wish Amazon did a better job of packaging it. Twice now the clear gel plastic container came beaten up, like it fell off the conveyer belt. This is disappointing.

I’ve used Hoosier Hill Farm products for years. I buy their canning products. The clear gel, citric acid, and alum powder of which I use for canning.

Worked. However, this is NOT the instant. Just a note for any Husband who is purchasing it for his wife. This was exactly what it said and it worked well. Just not what the wife ordered.... It was what I ordered. 5 stars for the product. 1 star for the husband following instructions.

This product works great for canning your fruit for pie fillings. The finished product looks beautiful. Doesn't separate after stored on shelf like corn starch does. Just have to remember to mix quick when you add it so extra hands help.

I decided to try to can pie filling. I used apple and peach for my pie filling. This worked so well to create a thickened filling around the fruit. When I took the jars out of the canner, they were beautiful. I've made many pies from the canned fruit.

This is a great value for the money. Works as advertised. Only drawback, for me is I wish it was in a scoopable container rather than a bag.
