Best of breed
Absolutely phenomenal woodworking tool. No one should be without this if they are even considering joining. Right out of the box I was able to join some red oak boards to make the 24" width I needed for a table. Simple, easy to use and adjusts to common thicknesses. Has 3 jig holes for various dowel plug sizes which are steel lined for durability. I cannot recommend this enough!

A good tool that may need owner tweaking
This is a relatively solid resin-based tool that looks & feels good. I've played with it but haven't really built anything real yet.I dropped this down to four stars for build quality. The fence was not usable out of "packaging". One of the two captured nuts was offset such that the fence couldn't be attached. It was off about 1/8" inch which prevented the fence from being installed. I got lucky in that the nut wasn't pushed down enough (as opposed to pushed down too much). Light taps with a nail punch/hammer fixed it.

Easy dowels for any level woldworker
Easy and low learning curve. Very versatile for drilling dowels in almost any way you can imagine. The drill bits aren't the best quality, but they get the job done.

Pretty much worthless
Milescraft makes okay products. Mostly, they excel at building practical tools with a slightly different approach than that of their competitors (which I guess accounts for the price). This unit did not work well for me because it's meant to be used a certain way and I do not have the clamps it takes to set it perfectly on angled cuts. Also, they missed an opportunity to make it clamp on its own. It was super cheap but I won't get much use out of it. In fact... I'm not sure who this is for (?)... Instead of being a doweling jig that makes perfectly spaced dowels of the same diameter, it only lets you drill one hole at a time, because the static holes are all different sizes. You can't use this tool to line things up without measuring and pinpointing your entry points, and even then, it's tricky to use. I can't even pretend that this is good for drilling 90* dowel holes alone (which might be worth $7). It's built utterly nonsensically and I don't know why I couldn't tell that by the photos. This seems like an unfinished prototype that they over-produced and just needed to dump cheaply to recoup the manufacturing costs.

A time and agony saver
This little piece takes the trial and error out of the work. The cut is quite accurate. I switched left and right panels of a tall dresser by mistake, but all the dowel holes still aligned well. It is a little difficult to keep the tool flat on the wood edge. I initially thought this could cause alignment issues. It turns out it doesn’t matter that much. Jointing with dowels actually is better done when the hole a bit bigger than the dowel. Slight movement of the tool actually helps.Do watch the 7-minute video here that explain the 3 types of joints. It explains all you need to know about this tool. The small details of the tool are lacking, as expected for cheap tools like this one. But so long it works for my purposes I don’t worry about it.

A doweling tool that can be used in both narrow and wide surfaces that clamping tools do not fit.
For 1/4 , 3/8, and 5/16 dowels. This jig will center dowel holes in a board edge up to 1 3/4 inches wide and up to 2 1/4 from a wide board edge using the red sliding edge guide. Remove the edge guide and use a penciled line you and place a dowel group anywhere. Easy to use ,non rusting tool of hard plastic, that is versatile and quite affordable. I it could last years of hobby woodworker use.

Super smart tool
It is amazing how effective this very simple too can be. A lot of thought went into something that seems simple upon first glance. Watch the youtube videos for how to use it
