it works as advertised
This product has a consistence of jelly. It goes on easily - i suggest you might want to wear kitchen gloves - and definitely takes away the rust.

Excellent
I used this on old rusty pliers and 20 mins later all the rust was gone. Very effective and easy to use. Just apply and rinse off 20 mins later.

Longer than expected
Works but longer time to wait than stated on container. My first try was 15-30 minutes as stated. Results were not as desired. Tried again and left the gel on for about 2+ hours. Results were much better.

This product does work. Made a lot of my tools look better. Price was great. Value for money. Will buy again if needed.

GOOEY MESS IN THE BOX ON ARRIVAL
DO NOT PURCHASE. Its non returnable. It arrived UNUSABLE as a gooey mess in the box! The plastic bottle bag had an air vent. The cap was not on tight I'm guessing. The packaging absorbed some of it, a lot was in the bag around the bottle and some was seeping into the shipping box! But its not a chemical you want on your skin, so disposal of everything was the only reasonable option.. Waste of Money, zero stars but like using it, it was not an option! I have used rust o leum products years, however there are many options to choose from with results just as good. Why bother with a crappy gooey UNUSABLE mess?

rust remover
the product works to remove rust, is not perfect, more work is needed to really clean off the residue. the product seems to have a stronger smell so face mask is very important, The product does not seem to remove the very heavy duty rust, even after applying more than 5 times, nothing, it does not penetrate deep it will do thin surfaces only, so thick corrosion will need a machine/special tools to manually remove. Gloves are a must this is still strong. For the price is too high for the amount of jelly you get, maybe this was originally a liquid but it sat a very long time and became jelly i dont know that. So its more of a gamble, if you have a serious project try something else, but for small un important projects this is OK

left the jelly on for a little bit and wiped it of and the rust was gone. Thank you
