I learned about this book via recommendation on Facebook's group discussion Family Reading In Kyrgyzstan. The group promotes family time for children and adults to read, discuss, and create ideas. In fact, Marc Martin created a delightful book of illustrations and facts about a variety of countries around the world. These pages work for adult to adult discussion, as well as for including the youngest of children.Note: not sure why I had to pay a premium price to purchase the last, new copy on Amazon. Maybe the author or Amazon will donate to village libraries all across Kyrgyzstan.

Beautifully illustrated, lots of interesting information, cleverly communicated. Facts presented as art, making it fun to learn about other places, people and things. My artistic, imaginative daughter loved it as a Christmas gift to her growing family. :)

Travel the world and discover LOTS of interesting and unique facts about cities. The incredibly talented Marc Martin has filled this book with LOTS of detail in his creative and textural style. We love all his books!

This is a wonderful book. The pictures are mesmerizing and the whole book is so cool. We bought it to add to our bookshelf and haven’t regretted it once! Great choice for your kiddos or to give as a gift. You can’t go wrong!

This book has the same title as everything everywhere. Not sure why dams book has 2 names. Both both in error

I can’t stress enough just how wonderful this book is. Essentially it’s an illustrated geography book - but the illustrations and clever snippets of information are totally brilliant. I’ve learned loads! …and my kids just cannot get enough of it.We’ve had a copy for years and still regularly read it with my two kids (now aged 5 & 8).Highly, highly recommended!

Highly useful teaching resource, particularly in the primary grades.

This book is brilliant. It’s great for my cousin who loves to ask lots of questions. The illustrations are brilliant and very detailed with lots of little facts. I think this book is great for curious kids.
