I saw this reviewed on YouTube from a creator called "Project Farm." He does some of the best real world test reviews out there. He tested 14 jump starters, including the Gooloo. The Gooloo jump starter came in second place overall and it was just $99. The first place jump starter was $370. An almost 4 times price increase for just a little improvement over the Gooloo jump starter. It arrived well packaged and included a ton of accessories. The Gooloo lets you jump start your car (which was super simple and worked great). But, it also has a built in light with several illumination patterns. I has two USB A output ports for charging your devices. A USB C port for charging the the Gooloo internal battery. The same USB C port can also be used as an output to charge your own device. It charged my video light at an amazing 40 watts (see my photo below of it charging). It also has a DC out port at 15V. There is a female cigarette lighter for the DC out port. However, I think 15 volts is a little high form some devices meant to run at 12 volts. So use caution. There is also a male cigarette lighter with a male USB C plug so you can charge the Gooloo from a standard cigarette lighter socket. There is a USB A to USB C male cord and a double male USB C cord included. This is a very complete package. I charged the Gooloo to 100% and then did a test start on my 4Runner. My 4Runner has an older battery that I am too cheap to replace. I tried to start the car, but it just went, "click, click, click." So I hooked up the Gooloo jump starter and it fired right up. Not only did it start, it cranked the starter with authority. As Project Farm would say, Very Impressive! The size of the Gooloo is larger then most jump starters. But, that is because it has a massive battery inside which provides the excellent performance. But, it is not too big to be cumbersome. Everything fit nicely into the provided storage bag. The instructions were very clear and simple to understand. Overall, I am super impressed with the Gooloo jump starter.

Holds charge for long time, months and works great although the bi-directional charge cable quit working after only a couple uses.

I found out about the Gooloo brand on YouTube (Project farm). At a price that's 1/3 of the NOCO charger he tested, this is a very powerful unit for a much more reasonable price! I'd really give it a 4.5 if I could; knocking it down .5 of a point since Gooloo doesn't include a wall charger. No worries I have a 2 amp wall charger that is more than powerful enough to get the unit to 100%. Very pleased with the first use! It started my car right up. LED display is a great feature. DC output is a nice feature if you need to power other 12 volt tools. Don't buy the $69.00 Gooloo 100 watt wall charger; there are many other 100 watt wall chargers available on Amazon for 1/3 of the price. Update: It's now 29 Nov 25, and the unit is totally dead. I've contacted [email protected]; I'll report back when I hear from their warranty department. Fiona at Gooloo stepped addressed my warranty issue, and I had a new unit in 5 days. Excellent customer support; I hope this new unit lasts longer!

I only charge this every 6 months and it is good to go. Could probably go longer between charges and still start your car. Really like it. I have a 6 liter gas and it is totally adequate.

Alright, so update on my previous review: This is an essential for me, especially for camping. I've had to jump my car (2014 town and country) about a dozen times since purchasing this due to a battery fault. This thing is the definition of overkill. Each jump takes somewhere between 10 and 15% of the battery life, and each jump, the van acts like it has a brand new battery, which is perfect. Biggest thing i've jumped so far is a GMC Yukon, which had zero issues. Outside of jumping cars, this is the champion of camping power. Its capable of charging all your mobile devices, rechargeable camping gear, even a laptop, without being the size of a lunchbox, and can recharge anywhere your phone can. Not to mention it can use any accessory your car's cigarette lighter can, and has a light. The only downside is this doesn't have any AC power, but that was never the point. Given the choice between this and a 150w inverter or a jackery (with a built-in inverter) and a car jumper, I'm probably going to pick this every time. What i've noticed since purchasing this: + Perfect for camping: This can charge a phone, tablet, battery fan/light, other power packs, even a USB-C charge capable laptop without a hassle. + Charges on a USB-C phone charger. 16w USB-C won't charge your laptop, but it will charge this, which charges your laptop. + Jumps stuff others won't touch: When "smarter" jumpers detect a bad battery and refuse to jump, this will jump your car, without hassle. +/- Light is designed for local light or signaling, not as a flashlight. Great for keeping people from running into you, not so ideal if you need to see someone at a distance. +/- This will fast-charge phones, but is not compatible with 45w super fast charge 2 some phones are capable of. - Clamps are chunky. Not a big deal, but these do get in the way on certain vehicles where the battery is in an awkward spot. TL;DR at the top: Huge battery, extremely flexible power options (is currently charging the laptop i'm writing this on), easily starts average cars and acts as a massive power bank for whatever you want to do. Just a little bulky but well worth it! Detailed review: About two years ago, i received a NOCO GB40. Supposedly rated to 1000 amps, it time and time again failed to start the 3.6l V6 engine in my Town and Country, my roommate's Buick Rendezvous, really anything I ran across that needed a jump. After two separate incidents in a week where the GB40 failed to start cars under ideal circumstances (full charge, warm engines, no mechanical faults), it was retired, and the GT4000 put in its place. Out of the box, the GT4000 is chunky, at 9x4x2.25", its larger than your average brick. Throw in the accessory kit (jumper leads, USB-C to C and USB C to A cables, PD100 charge cable and a cigarette lighter adapter) and you'll have a fun time getting this into your glovebox. But then again, the GT4000 can probably jump much larger things than your SUV. The packaging is superb, and nothing in the box was really susceptible to shaking in the first place, but I'm fairly confident the box would have kept everything secure regardless. The User Interface is simple, there's 2 buttons, power and boost. Power turns on the device, and when held, turns on a surprisingly bright flash...light? The very bright LED strip is obscured by a milky plastic cover, so it works well as a flood light, but not so much as a long throw flashlight. You can change the mode or turn off by clicking the power button repeatedly. Once on, connect your power leads to the port on the side of the charger, plug in your battery, and click "boost" if the backlit LCD screen doesn't say "Ready". The included leads are plenty long for the majority of batteries out there. I didn't feel like waiting to drain my battery to test this, so I disconnected the battery from my Town and Country and started the 3.6l V6 directly off this. No shock, but there was no hesitation, no difference from using the standard battery, successful start. Obviously this is a bit like using a sledgehammer to hit a nail, but it works! Outside of its duties as a car jumper, the GT4000 has a plethora of charging ports. First is a USB-C, which can deliver PD100 power to charge a USB-C PD compatible laptop, or 18w fast charge for your phone. This is also how you charge your GT4000. Next to this are two USB-A ports, one feeds 5,9,or 12 volts like Samsung's rapid chargers, the other feeds 2.4a at 12v. There is also a port for a cigarette lighter port, so you can run a compact compressor or an inverter. Thanks to its 99.2wh rating, this can easily double as a power pack for camping or long-haul flights on budget carriers, as it will charge most USB-C chargeable laptops once, or run your phone for days at a time. And since it is under 100w, this pack does not have any specific regulations with the TSA outside of needing to be carried in a carry-on bag. (note, you may wish to leave the jumper cables at home if you take this on an airplane, no clue how the TSA will react. I'm not responsible for any TSA-confiscated items or enhanced screening protocols). The LCD display is extremely easy to read, and gives you a lot of data regarding your charger, including charge percent, status, charging rate (in watts, which is very useful for testing the power output of USB ports), and more. If you manage to sufficiently discharge the battery (below 20%), the display will flash, making it very clear to recharge. It sounds like this unit has an internal warmer to keep its battery at an optimal temperature for discharge, i've yet to need to use it, and will update the review once a need arises. I also cannot speak to the longevity of the device, as I haven't had time to cycle it hundreds of times, but I'll update this review as that becomes relevant. Overall, this well exceeds the needs I have for the battery, acting as a car jumper, laptop and phone charger, and USB tester. If you're looking for something you know will start your car whenever and wherever you manage to find yourself, this is it. The only negative is the size, but if you can find a spot in your car to put a couple bricks that you don't need to think about, then it shouldn't be a concern, and is well worth the extra space for the added capabilities over similar, smaller products. P.S. the jumper plug for this are the same as the Noco GP40, but reversed, so you can't use the leads interchangeably.

Bought it after watching Project Farm on YouTube. It works great and I've used it a lot on my farm. From vehicles to lawnmowers and even my tractor it works good. Another handy use for it is to put it on a dead battery then hit "BOOST" until it beeps then remove it and put your battery charger on it. Most of these new digital battery chargers want to see some voltage on a battery before they'll work. Handy lightweight simple and powerful. Keep an eye out for a sale if you're not in a hurry. These GOO-LOO jump packs go on sale pretty often. I'm not putting in keywords for A.I. just so you'll look at my review but it looks like a couple of them already lit up. Have a great day. 👍

This jump starter is able to jump a car with a discharged battery - but unfortunately batteries nowadays fail with internal damage, including shorted cells. This is especially true in warmer climates - batteries acutely fail and the internal cells get shorted together. In this scenario the battery offers little or no start assistance - and this jump starter fails horribly. In contrast the Noco 4000’A can jump a dead battery in this state without issue. I couldn’t even jump a small Toyota Corolla with a badly failed battery using this starter! A good way to test the performance is to completely disconnect the battery - the jump starter should be able to start the engine with no battery. This essentially simulates an internally damaged battery that offers no start assistance. The Noco gbx155 can easily jump my 6.9L diesel with batteries disconnected! If you decide to test with disconnected batteries make sure you utilize an inline filter (rectifier) - which you can easily make yourself or purchase. The alternator has a dirty DC output (as seen on an oscilloscope). Fortunately the battery acts as a filter and cleans this up before it reaches your sensitive electronics (including the PCM). Without the battery or a filter the alternator output can damage these components. You can also test with an old completely dead battery if you have one laying around. That is the real test - can it start your car with a completely dead and internally damaged battery (measuring only a few volts or less)! This unit - along with many of the cheaper jump starters - cannot! The Noco GBX155 (4250A) does it easily. The rating of these cheaper devices is ridiculously over-stated - even a cheaper unit claiming 8000A couldn’t start my truck with a completely dead battery - yet the Noco 4250A did it easily - and multiple times back to back on the same charge! And the Noco is considerably more expensive - and heavier / physically larger (batteries making up most of this added weight). The amp output specified by these cheap units is not sustained - it’s the best case “peak / burst” output not sustainable long enough to even start my vehicle! Realistically these are capable of a sustained output measuring 20-30% of the advertised output (if your lucky!). Laws of physics applies and size matters when it comes to sustained output from the batteries (the “C” discharge rate and how long it can be sustained at a given rate). This is why the much bigger and heavier Noco can actually output what it claims while the much smaller and lighter cheaper jump starters cannot. The lithium batteries do not have the capacity. Hopefully this review helps others. If your battery is merely discharged (left your lights on all night) these lower cost starters will work fine. But if your battery fails badly - which is quite common today especially in hot climate - these low cost starters will leave you stranded. There is a reason why brands like Noco are way more expensive - consistent with commercial starters dealerships use to jump their vehicles! The 6000A Noco is over a thousand dollars - yet you can get a 10000A starter from some vendors for under $100! If it seems too good to be true - it probably is! That 10000A unit can realistically put out a sustained 2000A output if your lucky! If you decide to go the cheaper route, test it under worse case scenarios as described in my review -: doesn’t matter how cheap or expensive the unit is if it lets you down when you really need it! Visit a Ford dealership - they sell jump starters in their parts department. They sell the Noco - which is the same brand device they use to jump cars on their lot that have been sitting for a while m. And no, this isn’t meant to be a plug for Noco - I simply mention Noco because it’s the only portable and affordable one I tested so far that actually works and performs as advertised! Larger commercial units with real lead acid / AGM batteries also work but these are outside the price range for most people looking for a simple personal use device - and far too big and heavy to easily carry with you!

This item looks to be of very good quality. All materials that are included look to be constructed of high grade materials. Have not had to try it yet but reviews I have read on this all stated that it was one of the top jump starters in the testing group. The reason I only gave it 4 stars was due to the manufacturer not including an AC wall charger with the unit. Out of the box, the only way one can charge it is via the cigarette lighter in your vehicle. Thankfully, Amazon has the original wall charger at about 1/2 the price of ordering from the manufacturer and, an after market unit that appears to have the same specifications as the original, at an additional $20 lower than that of the manufacturers unit from Amazon. Will update if it fails to perform as described but so far, no regrets on the purchase.
