Great book in both content and readability.

I am doing some work in the Oil and Gas Industry and was looking for a comprehensive overview of the industry as a level-set so I can get up to speed quickly. "The Global Oil & Gas Industry" was just what I was looking for. Reading it reminded me of one of my textbooks from one of my MBA courses even down to the quality of the pages (very high quality, glossy paper). Reading "The Global Oil & Gas Industry" was definitely well worth my time. This book is very well written, comprehensive, and addresses the subject from a global view...just perfect for my purposes. It is so thorough and so well structured that it is surely a valuable read for Oil & Gas veterans and novices alike.

Covers historical perspective, upstream/downstream, financing, global political economy implications, management, marketing, supply, JV, etc. Excellent as reference if you're working with hydrocarbons and extremely readable in its own right. Best book in this space that I've come across.
