Works great - can be integrated into Home Assistant using ESP32 BT gateway
This works great so long as your within BT range. If you're a bit of a nerd, you can install a bluetooth-to-wifi gateway using an ESP32 and home assistant - and then the data can be captured via WIFI. This allows 24/7 monitoring from anywhere, and using scripting/node red, you can set up alerts or other functions to let you know it's time to refill.I'm using this on a 100lb vertical tank which is used exclusively on a Rinnai on-demand water heater (199btu). With a family of four, we get about 3-4 months on a single tank. It's nice to know when I get down to about 10% so I can get the tank replaced before anyone gets caught with a cold shower.

Only 1 of 2 units works well ---SELLER RESOLVED---
EDIT - I previously rated this 3/5 stars due to only 1 of 2 units working properly. However, the seller quickly contacted me and resolved the issue with a refund. Because of the quick response from the seller, I'm updating to 5/5 stars for the superb handling. The other unit I have works fine. Also, many comments on here say the battery is not replaceable, that is not true. There's 4 small indentions on the faceplate of the main body of the sensor where you can insert a small flat object (like a flat-head screwdriver) and pop the face cover off which will expose the internal components and the battery. I just wanted to add that, as there are quite a few comments claiming the battery isn't replaceable.Below is my original review of the Mopeka sensor. I ordered 2 units and despite having trouble getting 1 of the 2 units to work as well as my other, I'd still recommend buying if you're looking at these as I may have just gotten unlucky. But because the seller contacted me so fast and resolved the issue, they get an "A+" in my book.-----------------I purchased 2 of these for my 2 100lb vertical tanks.Set up was very easy and it linked to my phone via Bluetooth immediately. I followed the instructions for the first one and immediately got an accurate reading and a max star quality reading (1 is low quality and 3 is max quality sensor reading).I then installed the 2nd one on the bottom of the 2nd tank and no matter what I did, it kept giving me an error message on my phone saying the sensor was not properly placed for an accurate reading. I tried cleaning the bottom of the tank, cleaning the sensor, re-synchronizing the device, adding more gel to the sensor, recalibrated the level system, and nothing worked. I decided to just roll with it and see if it would work.It sort of works, but not nearly as good as the first one. After two weeks (and trying all the above AGAIN) , it still says the sensor is incorrectly positioned. Furthermore, it has trouble updating as frequently as my first sensor as shown in the screenshot. It struggles to update itself, which is frustrating when I'm using that specific tank. Sometimes it updates, sometimes it doesn't. See in the screenshot where my first good sensor updated immediately and my 2nd sensor hasn't updated for 22 hours. These tanks are right next to each other, so it's not a range issue.I don't know if this is a Bluetooth limitation or I got a defective unit, but considering the sensor issues I'm having with my second one, I'm leaning towards a defective unit.If I didn't have these issues, I'd no doubt rate 5/5 stars as my first one I've had zero issues with. It updates almost immediately when I open the app, says I have a good sensor reading, and is giving me an accurate reading. I can see the fuel deplete slowly in real-time while I'm using it.The second sensor, does none of those things.Lastly, my only other comment is that the low fuel level warning option in the app is a bit pointless as you basically have to have the app open to get a current reading of your tanks The app will not update the tank fuel levels if the app is closed or if it's been in the background for an extended period of time. I was looking forward to using this alarm feature as these tanks heat our house, but was very disappointed when I realized this limitation of the app having to be open on your phone. As it makes it a bit pointless when my tank is low, but I haven't received a notification on my phone. But then when I open the app and it updates and it recognizes my tank is low, THEN I get a phone notification that the tank is low.So I just turned this feature off.Otherwise the app itself is great! No bloatware, very simple design, easy to use, options to select various sizes tanks, able to rename and even put tanks in groups, etc.

Camping Must Have - The perfect way to patrol propane
We bought two of these for our camper. As dedicated year-round campers, we can go through quite a bit of propane in the winter but with these we just check our phones to monitor usage and determine when to refill them. The app is easy to read and they connect with the app quickly. Product has stayed on for over a year with no issues too. We consider this a "must have" item if you use propane for anything.

This should have been easier, read for my tips. These work well.
These work great. However getting these set up seemed much more difficult that it should have been.First, the sync buttons on the sensors are "mushy" and you have to push hard on them to activate the switch. Not wanting to damage the switches, or circuit boards inside, I couldn't get them to sync. Assuming the batteries may be the issue, it took them apart and discovered your really need to press hard on the sync button. Push hard enough and you will feel the switch "click". They then paired immediately. The app has issues for me as well. Going to the "help" page leads you to the 404 no page to be found. Really?Thinking setting up an account and registering might make thing easier and function as expected, led me to wait 15 minutes for the email needed to verify my account.Next, I ordered the halos for the tank bottoms but found they increased the outside diameter just enough my tanks would not fit into my trays. No worries, the sensors came with 3 little aluminum clips for the bottom rim to raise the tanks enough to allow clearance for the sensors. However, when I tried to tap them on the rim with a hammer, one split in half. Going to plan B, I ended up cutting the rubber halo into sections which allowed the tank to fit into the tray and prevent damage to the sensors by giving enough clearance. Then there was the centering of the sensor on the tank. I forgot to use the dielectric grease on the first one and it centered beautifully. Cool. I then removed it, greased it which then resulted in the sensor wandering around and not staying put. A very thin layer of grease, if any at all, will suffice. They are installed, they work well and I have a spare set of batteries in the trailer when its time to replace them!

Mopeka propane sensors are easy to use and provide an accurate reading
Purchased to replace an older model. The sensor was easy to install, set up and sync with the APP. The APP is pretty intuitive and user friendly. Comes with clip on wedges for bottom of tank but the sensor's thin design doesn't require them on my 5lb RV tanks. Great peace of mind being able to check my propane level on my RV, even my BBQ tank from inside my home using the APP.
