Does the smell on the on the surface of the cpu and gpu go away on it's own? does gaming on max settings make the smell go away quicker?

The wipes and the individual sachet the wipes come in have the smell. Once you wipe the thermal compound from your cpu it evaporates basically instantly. I was very impressed with the wipes themselves 👍🏽. Just make sure you bin the sachet/wipes outside immediately as the scent is very strong. You won't smell it after you have used it.
