I have an electronic kitchen timer that I bought maybe 10 years ago which I love. It was electronic but worked like a simple mechanical timer. I had trouble buying another one since it has been discontinued. But I gave this one a try since it appeared to work like my old one. I actually like it better than my old one. It emulates a mechanical timer in its ease of use (like my old one). Just turn the dial to the time you want and that's it. But you get the benefit of an electronic alarm beep of a few seconds or 30 seconds (much better than a mechanical timer with a single ding) and you can set it to high or low alarm volume. Also you can glance at the timer from a distance and see roughly how much time remains. I highly recommend this product. I may buy another as a backup based on my prior difficulty of finding this kind of timer.

Had a cheaper one before this one, which eventually broke. This one feels better quality, has more color options for distinguishing time left, and alarm-wise has more options as well (3 seconds or 30 second alarm). I hope it lasts longer

We’ve started using this for helping show how much time is left between things for our toddler and to help with transitions. It has made things go so much smoother and he loves the sound of the beeper as usually it is a positive thing in his mind!

This timer has been a game changer for us. Digital timers and timers without the color were hard for my kids to see time decreasing. This has really helped.

Works great, the only thing I don't like is the alarm. It sounds like a CO2 or fire alarm going off! Still scares me but I'm tyring to get used to it. I really like the green/yellow/red countdown, super easy to read from far away.My toddler has dropped it a couple times and it still works. Just wish it had a nicer alarm sound.

Bought the timer for study room use. There is a very noticeable ticking noise that I can hear 2ft away. Not appropriate for quiet room use. Alarm in loud setting is shocking, quieter setting is still loud, but tolerable. Choice of 3sec or 60 sec alarm duration is appreciated (3sec is good for a quick break reminder. 60 sec on loud setting is good as kitchen timer and if you want to hear it across the other end of the house, or over loud vent fan

Super great tool for our 5 year old. We tell him to set his timer for x min and when it goes off he doesn’t fuss or argue! It’s great for having him transition from one task to the next or completing tasks in a timely manner. The yellow to red countdown function is super helpful for him to warn him about how much time he has left

Wish Amazon would quit selling China's junk products!!! This timer had no color timed time. Main reason is you could not hear it go off as it only barely tinged. It cost me $7.99 to send it back so I lost that much money for their sending me inferior product. That is why I've slowed way down on buying from Amazon.
