I'm a watch collector, and I believe this is only the second time in my life that someone noticed and complimented one of my timepieces. The first was years ago when I wore a classic Hamilton, and now this. I bought several in both gold and silver metal since they're so inexpensive. They look as pictured and give the impression of being much more expensive than they actually are. Plus, they seem to keep accurate time. So, if you're on the ledge, I'd say, "Go for it!" If you find you don't like it, you can easily return it through Amazon. But I don't think you will (not like it, that is.)

The days of me buying expensive watches are over - I encountered an outrageous repair bill for one of them and swore never to spend more than $100 for a watch and I must say, some of these inexpensive watches are nicely styled and well made, and this is watch is definitely one of them. It's a bit chunky, but it's still a very nice watch that works well. If it dies one day for anything other than a battery, then into the garbage it goes as it won't be much of a financial loss. For now, it looks sharp and works well and I'm happy with my purchase.

The band was a little cheaply made but overall the whole watch looks very expensive

I am sure this was a returned item - the battery was dead and the little plastic tab that keeps the watch from being activated was gone. The band looked used, and the case looked used also. The watch was not expensive, but it was supposed to be new.
