I have the entire series of Vernon McGee commentaries. They are my "go to" commentaries. I can hear Vernon McGee's gravely voice speaking those words directly to me anytime I read his books. His words have powerfully affected my thinking and behavior. I bought this particular commentary as a gift to a believer who wants to dig deeper in Bible study.

Another fantastic commentary by Dr McGee. His books are scholarly, yet very clear and understandable. I've heard him say before that he "puts the cookies on the bottom shelf." This commentary certainly does so - it was a ready reference in my teaching through these three books in a recent Sunday School quarter.
