Easy to do card tricks for kids
This book teaches kids (children as young as 5) to do some very impressively "magical" card tricks. I worked with my 6 year old grandson on a couple of tricks he then did for his dad who was watching closely. Dad was amazed he couldn't figure out how his son had done each trick and kept saying, "Do it one more time so I can figure it out." He couldn't.

My youngest son is enjoying this book
Got this as an xmas gift for my youngest son and while he has only started to learn the tricks he is enjoying it. He is 10 and became interested in magic this last summer and this book has been a hit.

Used in my classroom as a reward for a difficult student. Great book
This book was purchased for one of my students at school as a reward when he does well in specific lessons. He loves the reward of looking through the book and picking up a card trick to try.

Lots of reading, easier to watch a video?
This is a pretty generic book of tricks. A lot of people already know how to do them. Once I looked through it, I also realized that there is a lot of technical reading to explain how the trick is done. It then occurred to me that despite the fact that I want them to read more, I agree with the kids- that watching the YouTube video how-to's are a lot easier than following a book's instructions. On the flip side, it's a fun way to teach them to follow directions.

Good for adults too
Actually, a little hard for ME, the adult to understand, but I am a complete beginner. This is good for your brain. And your dexterity. And your showmanship skills. Thrill the little kids with this, those who are 8+ yrs old - if younger, magic does not surprise them.

Engaging nontrivial tricks!
The tricks are quite good. It's interesting to figure out the math behind the tricks. Highly recommended.

Poorly written for kids
I bought this for my 7 year old daughter, who wants to be a magician. The instructions read about like an instruction manual for a 1984 audio system. I had to read it a couple of times before deciphering it. She quickly lost interest in it because it was too frustrating for her to figure out all the instructions for the tricks to work. Not written with kids comprehension levels in mind, perhaps they meant it for older kids, but it's really not easy for anyone to decipher.

'Just like that'!!!
This book went down really well with my nine year old friend. A very well set out book, easy to understand with proper tricks to master which were not so easy!

Great
I really like this one. I purchased it for my grandkids who are pre teens. This was much easier to understand than the first one I bought which was supposed to be easier but wasn’t.

Great book for helping your child to learn card tricks :)
Great book for helping your child to learn card tricks, although as this statement implies the descriptions of the tricks can be a little confusing for children so it's best, as an adult, to learn them first and walk though your budding magician through each one. The illustrations are basic (i.e. hand-drawn reproductions) however they suffice to gain, again as an adult, clarity of the effect and how it is achieved.
