For a few days the Pur Plus filter that came with the pitcher drained the 4-cup tray in 20 minutes. The drain time got longer every day until after 7-10 days it took 4-5 hours to drain the tray. I closely followed online instructions to de-clog the filter (turn upside down, shake vigorously until granules move freely, rinse drain ports for 30 sec cold then 30 sec warm). This reduced drain time to 3-4 hours for one day, then it was back to 6 hours. I call Pur and they sent another filter no charge : ) But the same thing happened. I've seen many similar complaints online. Pur should should stop selling this product that doesn't work as advertised.

Received this and it had obviously already been returned by someone else. The water filter package was already open and the filter was soaking wet. Pretty bad!

The PUR PLUS 7-Cup Water Filter Pitcher is a refined tool for any evil genius who demands excellence—even from their water. It turns tap water into a clean, crisp elixir devoid of chemical odors and unpleasant aftertastes. Ideal for coffee, which I use as the fuel for my darkest schemes. With this pitcher, even a simple cup of brew becomes a potent potion of focus and clarity. The filtration is impressive, reliably removing contaminants and making the water taste genuinely pure. No suspicious chemical tang. Just hydration worthy of an overlord. However, the indicator light feels like an unnecessary flourish—more a gimmick than a function. I know when to replace the filter by taste and intuition (or simply by calendar). A blinking light doesn't impress me. Still, this pitcher performs its primary task flawlessly and fits neatly in any refrigerator—or underground base kitchen. Highly recommended for masterminds who take their coffee (and hydration) seriously.

I'm a PUR loyalist and love that the product filters so much more of the forever chemicals and lead/heavy metal that is in our water stream. I had my first water filter for about 20 years. The workmanship of this particular filter and the general volume, just isn't great. The indicator for replacing the filter broke pretty immediately and can't be near water (which is not ideal for what this is). The pitcher is fragile and is already broken. And I knew it was small, but it is too small for the volume of water I drink. So, it is what it is.

The water taste good. THIS pitcher is SMALL. As in SMALL SMALL. Like why bother SMALL. And because of its SMALL capacity it takes its sweet time filtering so if you think oh I’ll just refill it oh my sweet heavens you will swear off water and anyone who says you need it to survive… So just go ahead and buy the larger one that sits in the fridge with the Spicket… it hasn’t leaked on me, the water taste great- the pur filters last a while and aren’t crazy expensive.
