Q: Can I order extra rod rests or replacements?

I’m sure there probably a std size thread so shouldn’t be too difficult in getting replacements

Q: It srems like one top end is looser than the other top end...is this done by design? If so is the loosser end the front?

This rod holder is junk. Unless you are fishing for bluegill or crappie don't bother yourself with this. The holders for the foam or cork part of the rod is too small for the rod to actually sit in. It doesn't take much of a fish to take this stand and your poles out in the water

Q: Can I screw my own bite alarms on the front of this pod?

Its cheaply made so be careful with . Works good but easy to snap if you don't make sure the parts you turn are fully loose when setting up and putting away. But it does work fine and most bite alarms will fit it
