This is another beautiful fairy door in the "pocket money range" which will allow your little ones to choose and buy their own fairy door or accessory for the fairy garden. This is a hobbit style door with a little windowand metal star shaped hinges. When I was a little girl my Gran told me that one single tree in the middle of a field or grassy area was actually a fairy tree. Farmers or builders would never cut this tree down as it was bad luck. Each one would have had a fairy door fixed to the bottom. She would tell my cousins and I that it was a magic fairy door and only the fairies that lived in there could open the door. She said that if you put little gifts at the door the fairies would know they were welcome and safe to play and live there. We would put pennies and flowers at the door or anything shiney, as fairies love shiney things, then we would come back later and some or all of it would have vanished. We thought we were so special because WE had fairies!!! I forgot all about Grans fairy door stories untill I saw one in a forest. I thought I can make that. Then lots of families can have special moments just like we did. This hobbit door is approx 80mm across. This door can sit happily on a skirting board, floor or shelf or be stuck on a wall inside your home OR it can be placed at the foor of any tree to look stunning.
