The BEST!
This seasoning is hands down the best mix I've ever tasted. I've been using it for years on steamed vegetables. A bit of soy sauce, touch of cayenne pepper, and this Peruvian is a home run. Order and delivery were quick and painless. Highly recommended!

Quite Possibly the Best Tasting Blend I've Had...
Oh my word!!!I am not exaggerating when I say that this, quite possibly, and quite honestly, is the best tasting blend of spice I have ever had.The flavor profile of this spice is unique, compared to every other blend I have tried and I'm used to using at home. It has just a tad bit of spiciness to it but nothing that is overwhelming. If you like a little bit of spice but don't like the the burning sensation from it, I think this is ideal for you. This has a zing and slight tanginess to it. It isn't something that jumps out in your face but it's there and it gives it more of a broad flavor profile. It makes things interesting. I think it is because of the lime juice this contains. The garlic is evident and I find that delicious. I can also taste the cumin and the chili pepper. I do sense a slight sweetness from the cane sugar as well and it does taste salty but not overly done. This comes in a pack of 6 but I do have to mention that the containers are small, as you can see in my photos. That being said, I still think that when you factor in the price and the high quality taste and ingredients that this this is a good deal.I cannot recommend this enough. This is absolutely delicious and it will go well in a variety of dishes.

Although A Mild Or More Subtle Blend Adds Very Good Flavor Without Heat
Review of McCormick Gourmet Organic Peruvian Seasoning, 1.25 oz (Pack of 6)Received with a Best By date approximately 11 months from date of receipt but most people do not pay much attention to expired spices and dried herbs and just add more if needed during use. These are 1.25 ounce containers so the contents will not last as long after opening which is a good idea as opening and exposure to air accelerates any breakdown in the flavor as the product ages.New spices, etc., I prefer to test on chicken and I found this to be a nice change. I do not have a similar product to compare this flavor to. The flavor is more subtle and definitely little heat.I have been migrating away from heavy salt content so I found the lack of nutritional information to be annoying. By taste the salt does not appear to be overly heavy. I started being cautious with the salt content when I found a different product from a different well-known food chain that a single serving contained 94% of the recommended daily intake of salt.Overall I believe that this is a nice change of pace but normally prefer something that is more spicier noting that spicier does not mean heat. Before posting this review I just tried some on some already cooked vegetables and this works pretty well for seasoning to taste after cooking.

Peruvian taste?! I think NOT!
The favorite seasoning on Peruvian dishes in the coast ( most popular dishes of our creole cuisine) for marinated include AJÍ PANCA, AJÍ MIRASOL, Ají Amarillo!! Those are the Ajies= uncultured wines call them chilies like we are from Mexico.( Mexico ppl you are awesome as is your food) What us this BS? Paprika?! You guys don’t know wtf you are talking about please name this crap something else bc it may taste good but is not Peruvian! Do your homework Mackormic! A very Peruanos cuando se a visto que el condimento más usado en aderezos es paprika y no ají panca?! Donde?! Un indulto la verdad.

A tasty seasoned salt, strong on salt and garlic but with a broad palate of other flavors
I wasn't quite sure what this particular spice blend would taste like. In fact, it tastes a bit like the venerable old Lowry's Seasoned Salt (also now a McCormick brand), although heavier on the garlic, and with a bit more spice bite. Let me be clear on the spice, though: This is far from what I'd consider spicy. It just has a bit of a discernable spice. The taste here, though dominated by salt and garlic, is complex enough to provide a nice flavor kick to things like french fries, fried eggs, or even pasta and vegetables. The only caveat is that salt is the primary ingredient here, so you can overdo it. So taste while using.Note that while cumin is listed in the ingredient list, and you can certainly smell cumin when you open the jar, it's not very prominent in the flavor profile. I consider that a very good thing, as I don't love cumin and too many spices are overwhelmed by cumin. Here, it tastes in harmony with the other flavors.Note that the cost for this version of the McCormicks spice is fairly high per ounce. You're paying for the individual bottles and the fact it's labeled organic. McCormicks also sells a non-organic variant that is appreciably cheaper per ounce in a large container.

YUMMMMMMM! Not heat, just flavor
We love to try new spices and spice combos, but are NOT fans of the ones that just bring heat - you know the kind - you wouldn't know if it tastes good or not, because your taste buds have been burned off and your throat scorched. Hard pass on those! This Peruvian spice was a new one to us. It looked good, so we tried it. All I can say is WOW. It is so tasty!!We had chicken thighs cooked in the air fryer with only this spice and panko, about 50/50 blend. The chicken was sprayed with olive oil, then rolled in the Peruvian/panko mix and air fried. It was so good, we had it again the next night, and will be having it again this week.It is very flavorful, but not "hot" spicy. No one got the consolation prize of heartburn from this one.It is so good, we shared a container with my son too. We will happily repurchase this one when ours runs out. Well done!
