Lovely!
I was looking for a small rice maker that wouldn't make a huge mess or burn rice. THIS WAS THE ONE! It was inexpensive, easy as heck to clean, and reading reviews gave me a great tip! Tip 1 - USE THE SPOON TO COVER THE VENT! When cooking, water pops out of the lid vent, which makes a bit of a mess. Nothing too bad, but the more full the pot the more of a mess it makes. Simply place the white spoon over it, which does not BLOCK it, it only keeps the steam and water from shooting up. It rolls back into the pot and keeps rice moist and properly cooked perfect every time. Tip 2 - UNPLUG IT. This has a toggle switch. Press it down to turn it on. In 20 minutes it pops up, done cooking and keeps it on a warmer stage. I've found if you leave it on this it does heat the bottom too long, but that's natural. Keep heating and it's going to get dark on the bottom. I found that if I go out as i hear it pop up, and unplug it, t he rice not only stays warm for long enough, but it never burns. This is not a cook it and leave it all day pot. This i a cook it and use it once done pot. which is great for me. The warmer does indeed keep it warm, but I don't use it. It's pretty perfect and has yet to give me a bad pot of rice, and I wont over make rice now! The cup that comes with it is 180ml or 3/4th c up, so keep that in mind when measuring. I am unsure if this makes 6 "cups" as in what it's sold with or 6 CUPS as in the measurement, as I have yet to check how much is really made. But two of these 180ml cups tends to make a little over 4 CUPS cooked? And t hat works for me and guests. Bonus Tip: Wash your rice and the mess will always be 100 times less to clean up and a better tasting rice :D

I have a larger "fuzzy logic" rice cooker, but this one has become my go-to choice most times.
This cooker makes great rice and easily handles rice mixed with quinoa or other grains and it does it fast! My existing rice cooker isn't going anywhere because I love to make GABA brown rice with it if I have the time. This one gets the nod more often because I don't always have 3-1/2 hours to wait for GABA brown rice. I also was drawn to the steamer basket feature for fish or veggies to cook at the same time. The comparatively inexpensive price made the decision to buy it easy, too. It does what it does well (same for the other rice cooker) and they both have a place on a kitchen shelf.

The appliance I never knew I needed
I love this rice cooker. I've never had one, so I researched for the features I was interested in dishwasher safe! This has it. It's straightforward -- just make rice or steams vegetables. I made my first batch using the enclosed cup and the amount of water directed. I made the full amount: 3 of the cupfuls, and look at the picture -- the rice was up to the top. I added a bit of salt, and that's it. The rice didn't stick to the bottom, and the cooker shut off when the rice had finished cooking. It was delicious and, oh, so easy. I rinsed my rice first to get rid of that milky starch. Others had mentioned that the enclosed cup isn't a full (US) sized cup -- they are correct. It is a Japanese cup size. Others had mentioned using the enclosed spoon to partially cover the vent to prevent the steam from spraying all over -- which I did and will continue to do so. When it came time to clean, it was super easy to hand wash -- maybe next time I'll put it in the dishwasher, but I didn't have to this time.

Proctor silex rice cooker with steamer basket
I am so glad I purchased this item. I have a proctor silex that is about 20 years old and is still working. I researched several brands but I trusted Proctor silex. It stated it was to cook grains. Being a southern girl, I enjoy grits but not so much cooking them. I did my trial run this morning. I used one packet of grits and a teaspoon of olive oil and 3/4 cup of water. Turned it on and left it. After about 30 minutes I checked and it had gone to the warm setting. The grits were fully cooked and so creamy.

Already doesn’t work. Used it only 4 time and bout it about 1 month ago.
I’ve had this rice cooker for less than a month and it’s already broken. Total waste of money. I don’t see any way to contact the manufacturer through Amazon to get a refund or replacement. I hope they see this review and try to make right by me. I’ve probably used it four times tops and it’s officially broken. It will not power up, plug outlet is plugged into is good, once again, broken already, and I purchased it about a month ago. Thanks a lot. Hope to hear from you guys soon. I also hope you make it right, if not, then I will continue to let people know about this product through every social media outlet I have. Thank you so much glad to have bought this and so happy. I got to use it four times.

A panela é enorme, resistente e bem acabada. Único ponto negativo é o cabo de força que é muito duro e a tomada é padrão americano. Esquenta bem rápido e mantém a comida aquecida por muito tempo. E o melhor de tudo é que dá pra fazer vários tipos de comida
