Obviously, this book is for studying for the PMP exam and throughout the years, Rita's book is still the top resource suggested by PMP aspirants across the globe. The number of study materials out there is very overwhelming, but this book speaks in plain terms and provides scenario-based learning which the exam is based on. Rita did a lot to promote the value of project management and when you study this book it's clear why. I only wish I started studying earlier, but that's on me. Good luck to everyone out there!

Very important literature relevant to students and professionals of project management
Project management basics written in a very elaborate and easy to understand concept with case studies that expands on practitioners skills consolidation

Much easier to follow then PMBOK
Yes, this book is still very heavy on material from older version of test. However, much of that information is still very important for the test, but it will be presented situationally rather than direct questions on ITTOs, so you you still have to know it. It did have a lot of tips about how to apply the material to the new test. I found it much easier to truly read each chapter compared to PMBOK. I also knew times where I could just skim areas. I like the practice quizzes after each section and the explanations for the correct answers. Since I have both this and the PMBOK, which I happened to get for free, I used this as my primary book and then went back to PMBOK for further clarfication if I felt I needed it. Or, I just googled items that I needed to know more about. I don't feel that these books are enough, though. I read the Agile Handbook, which is quick to get through. I also subscribed to a webcast series and an exam simulator. The exam simulator is the super crucial part if you don't think you need the webcast.

Adequate
This book was filled with decent information; however I lost respect after finding so many typos within it. The print is also very small. I ended up buying a different study guide.

Damaged and unable to replace.
Got a damaged book and when I tried to request replacement the app does not allow it. I am stuck with the damaged book now even after paying that amount of money. Do not buy.
