Interesting story about these bulbs. I have a light fixture that might be original to my house that was built in 1950. When the bulb went out I went to my local electrical supply place with the burned out bulb and the guy behind the counter said they had not sold this type of bulb for well over 10 years. I tried a 2nd supplier and got a similar story. I went on Amazon and found the exact bulb that I needed and they work great.

I was hesitant to order these but they were the exact bulbs I needed. My back porch light is brighter than ever.

Very bright, but we have them on a dimmer, so it works well for us. Very cost-effective compared to purchasing at a local hardware store or lighting specialty store.
