COMOMY 80" Extra Wide Baby Gate, Dog Gate for House Stairs Doorways

This baby gate was perfect for our split level home. It is always so hard to find a gate that will fit on tricky stair openings but this was perfect! It took me about 20 minutes to install and is incredibly sturdy.

easy to use, looks nice, easy to take out of the wall if I want to move heavy large furniture through the space or sweep or vacuum, I like how the door stays open when you want it to and swing shut if you barely push it shut. fits perfectly in our space and it has hinges so it can bend to the shape u need. and the quality is high. another thing is its very easy to get through the gate with stuff in your hands, which was so hard in my last gate to be honest it might not take long for the toddler to figure out exactly how to work it but until then we’re doing fine. Only downside would be if you have to pass through it in the middle of the night and you hit your hip on the left side of the gate while it’s open/walking through it, It’s kind of sharp. not like sharp, but like it hurts if you bump into it. but like now that I know it’s there, I always put my hand to the left holding that spot when walking through it.

Strong. Sturdy. Is a life saver for not having to chase our baby around once she became mobile and climbing things. She holds onto the gate and dances, throws her head back and lets out a wookie scream. The gate doesn’t budge. And it is difficult enough to open where she won’t be able to figure out how to open it for a very long time.

Love this baby gate! It’s very sturdy! The sticky pads that come with it we couldn’t use bc our floors aren’t very even so we just used 2 screws that came with it and put those through the holes on the ankers! I love that the gate was adjustable to just how we needed it positioned! Our baby can stand up and hold it without us worried it will move and on the plus it keeps our dog in as well! (He is a staffy for reference) the gate looks great and makes our space look so much better!

This gate is exactly what I needed for my huge dog. The quality is great. It was easy to install but we used a n L alternate way of mounting it so it could be completely removed when not being used. I like the height and ease of opening and closing the door. It f d meant scrape on the floor which is something I was concerned about.

If you’ve got a wider space to block off, this gate actually covers it without feeling flimsy. Once it’s set up, it feels secure and doesn’t shift around with normal use. The auto-close feature is convenient—you don’t have to think about it every time you walk through, and it latches properly on its own. The walk-through door is smooth and easy to use, which makes a big difference day to day. Only thing is setup takes a little more time just because of the size, but nothing complicated. Overall, it’s a solid option for larger openings. It’s sturdy, practical, and does what it’s supposed to do.

We love this gate. We have an uneven landing at the top of our stairs so we needed a tri-fold kind of gate. This one worked great. We drilled one side into our wall and another into our wood shelves. It is also relatively easy to detach from the wall if you need to store it. The only thing with the gate, which isn't a problem, is that it does move with force. For example, lifting the door requires a bit of force, and gate will shift around when you do this. I've gotten into the habit of putting my foot on side to lift it. It does come with floor stickers which would likely solve this issue, but we prefer to be able detach it from the wall pretty regularly. And like I said, I wouldn't call this a problem so much as something to be aware of. All in all, it is exactly what we needed for our baby who is beginning to crawl.

This was the only gate I could find to solve our stair problem, with a 2 year old and another on the way who will eventually be crawling around. Because of having the metal banister with spindles that are only 1” it proved to be rather difficult (and I refused to use a pressure mounted gate for the top of stairs) with trial and error and sending gates back, I finally landed on this one, measured to make sure my vision would work and it thankfully did!! Love that the gate came already put together in one piece and all we had to do was put the mounts up on the one wall side, click the gate into them and attach zip ties on the other, it took us maybe 10-15 minutes to set it up, despite using zip ties on one side it is still very sturdy and not going anywhere, it is a good height as well! My only complaint is that I originally wanted it in white, but after waiting over a week for the white one to ship (when it said prime 2 day delivery), I cancelled the order and settled for the black one which did arrive in 2 days! Worth the price!
