WEmake FM Radio STEM DIY Soldering Kit with Tools

Fantastic product! Bought as a present for a 10-12 year old. They were able to assemble it in a day with some adult supervision for the soldering. It came with clear instructions and extra pieces. Perfect DIY kit for those first-time users interested in circuits, soldering, or electronics. The radio actually works when you are done and you habe a functioning soldering to keep afterwards. Just an all-around great purchase.

I rarely write reviews, but I wanted to give a shout out to this company for making something really cool. On a whim I decided that I wanted to learn how to solder lol. I ordered this kit and it turned out everything worked out great, which is crazy for the price. Made a couple of mistakes along the way and even had a part break (one of the battery housing leads), but it gave me a chance to learn how to repair broken connections and another mistake was a great chance to learn how to desolder to move parts to the correct spots. Overall I’m very pleased and I now have a functioning radio to play around with. Looking forward to the next project now that I know how to solder with some confidence. Btw I’m 38 as I write this, so I can say it’s great for adults too!

If you want a quality working frequency modulation device (or FM radio) then you should buy a pre-assembled unit. You have to accept the fact that this device may (or may not) work correctly when completed. It's a learning project for beginners. I've read some reviews saying that this isn't for beginners but, in my opinion, it's perfect for beginners. At first it looks intimidating but after you read the instructions a few times and solder your first few discap capacitors it's just a matter of time before you get the hang of it. It took me five hours. When finished it worked great for about thirty minutes. That was enough time for me to take a video and upload it to social media. Now it has stopped picking up signals but it served its purpose.

Built with my son in a day, we love it and get greatly improved our soldering skills. Fixed my wife hair dryer with the included iron, my son’s ride on power wheels lightning McQueen which had a broken motor connector, soldered an ESC to a brushed motor with the included iron, uses are endless once you learn.

Easy to follow pictures with instructions

I got it all put together for class. It worked for all of 5 minutes then the speaker will not work. I was able to get 4 different stations and now all I get is the led to light up. Very disappointing.

I have been assambling it little by little and teaching kids about the components and what they do. Well planed quality components and very informative. The end product works and the bonus is that the kids loved working on it. Many many hours of fun! making it. Thank you for this relatively easy yet challenging kid.
