I will not rate these until I see how long they will last. At least 2years. Subject to rereview.Update; well I decided to update the review on Totaline 40+5 mfd instead of waiting 2 yrs. I am glad to report that they( I have two AC units) are working flawlessly! I will update this review in 2019. Good luck to all who read this.Jan 2019; update on this product, glad to report that the Totaline 40+5 mfd is still on the job ( I have heat pump therefore the unit runs year round) and doing what it is supposed to do. 5 stars.Update July 2019; Totaline40+5 is still going. Good product so far.Update Aug. 2020 ;Totaline 40+5 is still working flawlessly and it is very hot today in north Texas(105 degrees).Good product so far.Hope all this updatin helps somebody out there!!! 😊

Great product and much cheaper than having tech come to repair

This saved the day. And my wallet! Had to replace a capacitor at the start is the summer. All of the repair companies were backed up and charging hundreds/thousands of dollars to repair them. I got this and put it in and 15 minutes later the temperature inside started dropping.

Although I don't work in the HVAC trade, I am an EPA certified HVAC tech. I wanted to have start Cap-s for backup, so I ordered 2 of these to replace when needed. That time came on a Saturday afternoon in the middle of the summer. I cannot be happier with these capacitors. Installed it in 5 min, and had the air blowing cold again. Works fine and having these on hand saved me a lot of headaches for sure.

My 10 year old AC unit was having trouble starting, so I called a local AC company to send out a tech. After a service of the unit for $29.95 of course, I was given a list of what my unit needed. Top of the list was a start capacitor and a coil cleaning. Well for$400 the tech could walk out to his van and install a brand new capacitor with a whole 1 year warranty. I politely asked the technician for the specifications on the capacitor and declined both it and the coil cleaning. I ordered two of these so I now have a spare. Arizona summers are brutal on these. A nice bonus, this capacitor is not only a great deal, it was also longer, and heavier than the one it replaced. Feels like a quality unit.

No issues whatsoever

I've just installed and works great! Was concerned about replacing the 370 Volt on my current Carrier unit but after reading the answer from the Q/A section, it gave me the confidence that 440 should have no problem. Will update my review after 2 years of usage if this product still deserve a 5- stars rating.
