DYNAMIC!!!
First off... According to Discogs, there are 30 different versions of this album! After recording my 1979 Coral colored vinyl LP to CD I rediscovered what a fantastic album this is. So I decided it was worth getting a CD version. I got the BVCC-37510, RCA Red Seal – 88697-18485-2, CD from Japan. This 2007 Reissue was Remastered using JVC K2 mastering. (Note: The back cover says 2004) Now, the vinyl LP version plays like a single song on each side of the album, as each song seamlessly blends into the next with not too much dynamic range. It's often difficult to tell when each new song begins and ends. The CD is a completely different listening experience. There is so much more dynamic range it almost sounds like some of the songs fade out into the next, but they're not. The quiet parts are extremely quiet, down to almost dead silence in places, and the loud parts will blow your speakers out if you turned up the volume for the quiet parts! It is spectacular! If you love your vinyl version of The Bermuda Triangle don't hesitate to pick up the remastered CD. It's like having two incredible performances of the same album.

A musical work of art!!
I first heard this album in 1979, when I bought the cassette, and I was hooked, a fantastic journey of synthesized sound!!Tomita was a master of his craft, such a beautiful interpretation of the classical genre, with an air of sinister foreboding. The addition of the sequence from Close Encounters is great, but the atmospheric sounds and effects are what completes this truly brilliant musical work of art.So sad to know that Isao Tomita died in June 2016, I found out months later...

Bandersnatch has some great music
Great album. It's so cool to hear his rendition of "Close encounters of The Third Kind" the music is amazing and very cool. The netflix Bandersnatch episode brought me to this album, it's a shame Tomita's work is not readily available on spotify and such. His work is truly amazing and this is a great place to start. Choose this album and you will be impressed

Is it worth the price?
Yes, this CD is overpriced. You know that already. But is it worth it? The answer is "yes and no". Yes it is worth it because you don't have much hope of finding this album on CD anywhere else. And it's one of Tomita's best albums. No because it isn't in surround sound like the SACDs in the Ultimate series... it isn't even matrixed Dolby Surround like the old RCA Tomita CDs. It sounds better than the old pink vinyl LP version. If that's good enough for you, then it answers your question. But I can't be too enthusiastic about this given the price.

Great music -- less than ideal packaging
Great music -- worth four stars. Not my favorite Tomita, but still very good. Why 3 stars, then? No fault of the producers, but I wish there were a US release of this album, like so many other Tomita. Most of the liner notes here are in Japanese (of course), and what little English text there is is in micro-font. A great listen -- but I'll buy it again someday if/when it is released in America.

Isao Tomita, who recently passed away this year, ...
Isao Tomita, who recently passed away this year, was a genius composer. Bermuda Triangle was the first album I experienced by him, but not the last by far.

One of the most important and innovative electronic music albums ever created
One of music's biggest mysteries is why Isao Tomita is not more well-known and hailed as the genuis of electronic music that he is. His RCA recordings in the 1970s are seminal works that took the synthesiser and electronic music technology of the day to new heights, and The Bermuda Triangle is perhaps the culmination of that skill and artistry. Tomita tells a story with sound like never before - combining classical music themes and film scores (Close Encounters) with other-wordly soundscapes to portray science fiction and fantasy themes that takes a few listens to really embrace, but is ultimately one of the most rewarding listens you can have in this genre. The only real omission in this CD version is a more faithful copy of the original gatefold LP sleeve artwork. It features in a small photo on the jewel case behind the CD, but it would have been nice to see the booklet reproduce this in more detail. Butl, it's the sound that matters at the end of the day. I first encountered The Bermuda Triangle in 1979 - and it is brilliant to have it on CD at last. Finally, with very reasonable shipping costs from Japanese suppliers, it's good to be able to track down these superb recordings from a master of electronic music.

Tomita at his unique very best
Tomita has been one of my favourite electronic music artists since I can remember, Bermuda Triangle is one of his best works, not the original cover picture as on the original vinyl recording, but its the music, in this instance that counts, on CD it just sounds superb. I personally consider Grand Canyon to be his best ever recording. His back catalogue is difficult to source, some is available from specialist vinyl sellers, compilations are available too, but if you are a fan of his unique sound and expression through synthesis , buy this CD now, if you haven't already!!
