Great scale for my dogs. Well made, Surface is not slick, easy to work and read. Not to heavy or hard to move around or pick up. Thin enough to slide under my grooming table.

LOVE this scale Well packaged, shipped on time, as described & easy to use. PERFECT scale for two large DOODLES, 50 and 60 pounds. I was also very impressed with their ideal weight list for various breeds included in the box and LOVED the graphic that was printed on the box with the visuals of ideal, thin & overweight from the side and top. This graphic is by far the BEST visualization I have EVER seen depicting dog weights. I cut it off of the box and will be making it into a magnet of something that can be frequently seen. Dog weight is crucial to their health & longevity. I hope the manufacturers will consider adding a magnet of this graphic in the box or something like that for future customers. That would have been really cool to have found that in the box. Once you see that depiction, it is hard to unsee it. Highly recommend this product!!!

Works well for weighing our dog at home. I have a 40lb poodle that is having health issues and we are monitoring his weight. Beats having to stop at the vets office weekly. The only cons: surface kind of slippery so I have place some rubbery kitchen cupboard liner on it for better footing. Also would have been nice to have a "Tare" button so I could step on it, zero out my weight then hold my dog to get his weight. But for the price we will make it work.

Edit: 02/03/2020 I just came across this review in my account and wanted to mention that it’s 5.5 years later and the scale is still going strong. I stopped storing it in the box years ago. It’s a fixture on the kitchen floor, so it gets used by several dogs several times a week. My beagle likes to use it as her perch the rest of her time so she sits a bit taller. The scale gets a lot of use! There’s a tiny chip out of the front corner where I dropped a cast iron pot on it. Otherwise, it’s still solid and still accurate with my veterinary clinic’s scale. This is one of those purchases I just wish I had made years earlier. It so much easier to catch the dogs’ weight slipping either way. When my dog had cancer, the scale was invaluable for monitoring his weight to ensure he wasn’t losing too much weight. It was easy for him to step on, wait and off on a daily basis. ——- Review: This scale is fine for large dogs. But... 1. your dog needs to know a Wait or Stand command. Heck you can simply train your dog a Target/touch command (follow your palm with his nose) to stand calmly on to the scale. (There are lots of internet sites that explain how to train these). 2. Don't put the scale right up against a wall. That should help a lot. Humans don't like to face right up against a wall even when we understand why we need to. Dogs get squirrelly when we make them do so. Give your dog at least 5--6 inches from the wall. If you buy a bigger scale, it's going to take more floor space anyhow. Better yet, put the scale in the middle of the room to weigh if you can; you can slide it against the wall for storage. (Or put it back in the box, which is what I do). 3. A tippy scale on an uneven floor will make a dog nervous. And it won't register the right weight anyhow. Shim your scale. Drag it around on the floor until it doesn't tip. That's why my scale is stored in the box -- because the floor in my bathroom isn't perfectly level but the floor in my kitchen is. I put the scale down. Now, as soon as he sees it, my big dog (90lb GSD) walks up. Waits. I register his weight. He steps off. He's a young squirrelly dog, but he can stand still for a few seconds to get weighed. I'm sure yours can too!

Solid, stable on the floor,, and after testing appears to provide correct weights for my dogs from 15# to 48#. The weight read-out is very touchy, flickering around quickly even after pushing the "hold" button as the instructions read, and even when a stationary object is used as a test. It takes awhile to stop changing weight read-outs, but ultimately appears to read correctly. It's tough by myself to get the dog in position and staying still, then hit the "hold" button to get the weight to finish shifting - but once all done it works well,, is big enough for my dogs with a textured surface that's not slick. Would recommend.

This would be better if it read in pounds and 1/10th of pounds instead of ounces. I have to convert to do any dose calculations for my mobile vet practice. The scale is accurate and repeatable but it would be great if you could press a button to hold the weight because it jumps around constantly even if an animal is standing still. It would be better if the surface of the scale was not a brittle plastic. The plastic edges of the scale are starting to break off after 6 months of use. Also, when dogs' nails click on it, they are often afraid of it. A yoga mat cut to expose the readout, can improve their footing and prevent the clicking/scraping of nails. Lastly, if you live in a cold climate, BEWARE of leaving it in your vehicle. This morning, my bag rolled onto the scale and shattered the glass (which is the entire scale sandwiched between the plastic and a grey paint). It is tempered so it stayed together, but I did cut my finger pulling it out of my bag before realizing it had shattered. Overall, the price is good and the function is good, but could use improvements. If I repurchase, I will not store in my vehicle when it freezes. UPDATE: I purchased a new scale in November. On January 30 the On/Off button fell off. I lost the button and it would no longer turn on. I found the button 2/2 and taped it back on and it worked until today. It will no longer turn on (I replaced batteries and it still didn't work). I don't know how to return this item now that it is after 1/31. Seems if a product doesn't work after less than 3 months, it is considered defective. Amazon, please help!

Been waiting for a long time to purchase this. And it was well worth the weight. This scale is accurate. Put my big dog on last night. And it is bang on. Now I can tell if hes losing weight. Hes been on a diet now I can track the weight loss. The top of it, where the dog stands is hard plastic. But my dogs didn't slip at all. I put them on the scale and have them sit. The digital display is easy to see. This scale is compact, meaning very slim. I can push it under my couch when it's not in use. Have 2 AAA batteries on hand because it doesn't come with the scale. This price is excellent for not only the quality but easily stored. If someone has a dog that needs to lose weight and you need to keep an eye on you pets weight, having this could save you hundreds on vet bills. Having an overweight dog can cause so many other health issues. Diabetic, joint problems, thyroid issues. Please keep an eye on your dogs weight. This will definitely help.

Ich suchte eine Waage für meinen Hund, da ich diesen mit über 30 kg nicht immer hochheben und mich mit ihm zusammen auf eine Personenwaage stellen wollte. Eignet sich super zur Gewichtskontrolle. Sie geht drauf wenn ich ihr das sage und das Display lässt sich gut ablesen. Das einzige was ich als Manko bzw. Minuspunkt sehe, ist das diese Waage nur für ein max. Gewicht von umgerechnet 102kg hat. Das kann jede Personenwaage besser.

Por lo que pagas , es una excelente báscula, está es la 2da que Compor, la anterior duro 8años, compra otra igual. Cumple para perros menores de 30kg está bien, superior ya le batallas, pero por el costo está bien, ya para una vaca pues cómprate otra.
