What are the difference in quality whistle works great

Good quality, good value for your money

I was expecting a quality whistle from Acme, even if it needed a little tweaking as some of them do. NOPE. The gun was set almost 3/16" too far back from the hole in the buoy, and almost completely misses it. It also looks like it was out of alignment to start with and had to be "adjusted" by bending the keel and end of the gun, leaving a noticeably folded spot in the keel. It's almost impossible to even get enough air across it to make it whistle. I've fixed these things before, but this one is so far out I'm not touching it. I was pretty disappointed; I've had whistles that were better out of the box for half that price. Hopefully the replacement will be better; I know some people have gotten top notch Acme #12, so maybe mine was just an aberration.

I really don't know much about a Boson's Pipe so it would have been nice to have some instructions, but I guess I can get them on YouTube.

it isnt tuned at all you have to blow way to hard to produce tone but it will whistle if you really blow take your time filing front of pea to far
