Love the unique story and world
I really love the unique world and unique magics of the story and look forward to many more and learning new things about this world and the people involved. I liked the characterizations I felt really involved with the main characters ups and downs and just like wow on some of the things that actually happened and looking forward again to continuing the story and hoping that we can get some happiness but I know they'll have to be other things coming so one step at a time thank you

Lovely light sci-fi romance
I had already watched the animated series on Netflix when it was recommended to me that I read the light novels as well. The writing was charming and the romance was cute. The sci-if aspect of the story is fun, but I think if you read this story it’s really about the growing love between our two protagonists than anything else. I will say that I would have liked there to be a bit more warming between the two by the end of this installment. Just more to look forward to in the next novel, I suppose.

wonderful!
I love this story so much! I bought all the available novels that was released. I can’t wait to finish it. Netflix based their series in these novels, but reading this made so much more sense about the point of view of each characters. Though there are some difference, I can’t wait how it would be portrayed in the Netflix series.

love 💜
I really enjoyed the second volume to this series! I watched the anime before I even knew this existed so I’m not surprised that I like it this much. If anyone is curious, this book takes about the second half of the first season. Oddly enough continues a little past where the show ended. And there seem to be some small things changed. Nothing to seriously make them different but enough for a person to notice. If anyone is wondering if there is a point to reading this even though they watched the anime- I say wholeheartedly, yes! Now I must admit, watching the show, Miyo did annoy me a bit towards the end. But after reading this and being able to see her thoughts- her actions make a lot more sense in the anime. There are just things that they couldn’t include in the anime that the novels can. Also SPOILER ALERT- it seemed the whole dream sequence in the anime where Miyo basically has to face herself before she can save Kiyoka was not in this novel. So that was a nice added thing for the anime. But I was confused at first when it didn’t happen thinking maybe I remembered the anime incorrectly. If I had any complaint, it would be that some details are not explained. I think most of the time you can infer and make a strong guess, but there are just things to the Japanese culture that simply doesn’t get explained in the novel because it is likely common knowledge for the target audience. Which as an American reading- we don’t already know or understand some of their culture. But that’s a very small complaint. I love the book and am already reading the third.

Love, trauma, magic
I'm in love. This series has proven to be a wonderful mix of romance and fantasy. I am thrilled to see an anime adaption on Netflix, congratulations to the talented writer, Akumi. The animation is as stunning as your beautifully written stories.
