I bought this “cookie cutter” home 2 years ago. I’ve slowly been making it my home. Previous owners removed a pop up range hood. I had been anxious to put one in & found this. I had my roofing company install it. I really love it! Functionally it works perfectly! Finally no more smoke alarm if I want to cook bacon in the house!

Pros:The hood is gorgeous. Really gorgeous.Customer service is outstanding. I had contacted the vendor to see if there was any way to expedite shipping, or to hopefully receive the product on the shorter end of the shipping window. They responded quickly and promised to send right away. And they did.ConsThe hood arrived without instructions. Fortunately during our communications, they had included a PDF of the install intruction. My contractor was baffled by the welded-in support bar and didn't realize it was supposed to be removed until I remembered the email. We're still a bit surprised it's welded in rather than screwed or affixed by a slightly less permanent means. But once we figured that out, it was doable and not a difficult install.The hood cover arrived by arranged shipping with a signature. However, the electrical unit arrived separately, in a different style packaging, and just left on the door. Since I had many, many construction fixtures being shipped, I just set it aside without realizing what it was. When we went to install the hood, we had quite a panicked moment that the electrical unit was missing from the package until we realized it was in one of the unmarked boxes we had stored away.Both of these issues are tiny in the long run, and once overcome, presented no real problems.And every time I look at the finished install, I am just thrilled. I also have a large, cooper farmhouse sink, and the two pieces make the kitchen look dramatic and spectacular (or it will once I get rid of this horrible tile LOL).
