I think it would depend on how heavy the growth is. This hair remover is to remove the really fine facial hair, often referred to as "peach fuzz", that women have. For example I would not use this to remove under arm hair or to remove hair on my legs because it's heavier than my facial hair and for that reason I believe it would be painful.
