Classic fantasy with a message
This book is the first I have read by this author. It is a fantasy, with all the essential ingredients of a classic quest story. There is magic, dragons, flying horses, a brave hero and beautiful women, so what more would a fantasy fan wish? However, there is much more. V. M. Stang’s writing style is fascinating. It’s deceptive simplicity reminded me of the old Norse classics of the Orkneyinga Saga, Njal’s Saga and the Vinland Saga. Augmenting that was the inclusion, intentionally or otherwise, of elements of international folklore and belief, with shamanism that could be North American or Celtic. The words carry a message that different worlds may have outwardly differing cultures, but share fundamental similarities. Love is more important than hatred, and collective action is used against institutional tyranny: the power of the people.I read this book in two sittings, which is unusual for me, and I would absolutely recommend it for anybody as an excellent five star read.

Travel through worlds of earth, fire, air and water to complete your quest.
I received promotional copies of the audio books of Elemental Worlds by VM Sang. This was my first experience of audio books. I listened to them while doing craft work and was captivated by the story from the very first minute. I can’t fault any of it from the characters to the different worlds they travelled through. Later I played the first book to my grandchildren who hung on to every word. Keep writing.
