Does this device continuously heat the liquid inside the hot water bottle for 6 hours?

The pillow is heated up via a lead / adapter plugged into the top, this boils the water similar to a kettle only it's electric heating element is inside the pillow instead. The heat only lasts roughly half an hour if not under a blanket and maybe an hour if under and is nowhere near as hot as a hot water bottle. It is very easy to heat back up though and less time consuming but if you want something really hot that lasts a long time this definitely isn't your best option. I think a lot of people are mislead into thinking that this is a battery pack charge up type system, it isn't, it's best described as a kettle pillow, you just can't pour any water out.

Can this be charged up for later use, ie charge up before bedtime and use it during the night or in the morning?

I found giving the hot water bottle about 6 minutes of charge will give about 4 hrs of heat output. You can choose yourself when you want to use it, but it doesn't 'store' the heat. As you would get with a conventional hot water bottle the heat starts to give off heat as soon as it is hot.

Does this water bottle work in Spain?

I assume so - you’d need the right adaptor though as it comes with a 3 point plug charger.
