This is my 12th (?) 20V unit in this B&D line, works just perfect. Have had several of the rechargeable interior battery types, and did not want another. Once those batteries die, you throw away the unit. Not so here. Good suction, easy clean, and again... always fresh battery life.Going to add a 'catch-all' comment here for all of my B&D 20v purchases, likely repeat on other unit reviews if/when I get the time to post.Started with the 14.4V Bosch products, then moved to the 18V Dewalt, then temped by economics to try the 20V B&D drill (first of the dozen or so 20v units I bought), been using ever since. Not in the profession, but I have done multiple large and small projects the last 10 or so years, including a post frame building, and have had no failures. Dropped original drill from 20' up, broke at the grip, glued it back together with PC7, still working.Have the hand vac, blower, inflater, two other drills, chain saw, hand and cutoff saws, two hedge trimmers, lawn trimmer... happy with all of them. Not designed for industrial use, but that's not what you're paying for here. Handy and dependable units to have around the homestead.

Works great
Love this vac. Great suction and charges quickly. Feels heavy duty, not cheaply made. A bit on the loud side, but doesn’t bother me. Picks up everything.

Powerful small vac.
Nice small vac, if you already have the batteries and charger - good suction and overall ergonomics, battery lasts for quite a while before it needs to be recharged. I just wish it had an option of small nozzle brush, or a soft nozzle, so not to scratch the surfaces - still, overall it's a very convenient and powerful small tool.

Powerful little handheld
Since it took batteries I already had, I got to save a few dollars by buying this specific item. It's powerful enough and the battery life is long enough to do a thorough job of cleaning a car. It's also good for other small cleanups. My wife uses it often when re-potting plants and it never fails to do the job.

Perfect size, no cables, strong suction, always ready to use
We use it to pick local crumbs from the rug - it is so much easier to use than regular corded vacuum cleaner. Lithium battery stays charged and lasts at least 10 min of operation (we haven't try longer). We got second battery just in case. Perfect size and strong suction. We like additional narrow nozzle. Cleaning is very easy and spare filters are available.

Exchangeable Battery
It performs as advertised but most important to me, unlike most of the hand-held vacuum cleaners advertised, this one has a standard replaceable battery thus when the battery no longer accepts a charge one doesn't just throw the whole tool away and buy a new one.

Great designed mini-vac with external battery, roomy easy to clean waste compartment, great suction.
This is the best minivac that I've ever owned, though I've only had it a week. It is simple, and maybe lacks some things that make other vacs better (like an integrated telescoping neck), but it does simple vacuuming well. We generally use on kitchen tile and door mats. It has a large capacity and is very easy to empty.I read one review that said this didn't have enough suction?!?! Maybe they didn't' get the 20v unit (I think there is a 12v one). While it does move a significant amount of air out its side vents, that is probably part of why it has great suction. It does well at sucking pet food crumbs out of the pile of our rug/mat in the kitchen. Its like a mini shop vac.The add-on battery design is great. No reasonably priced minivac with an onboard battery is going to match the battery capacity. Using an external battery means that they didn't have to sacrifice battery size for space when designing it. You don't have to constantly set it to recharge like my old minivac. The battery is also a great weight counter balance. When you hold the unit out with one hand, it feels balanced, not heavy.
